For each die rolled, you may move a single piece the shown number of spaces. If you roll doubles, you get to use 4 dice instead of 2. If an opponent's piece is alone, you may "knock it off" the board by moving your own piece into that space. Any pieces "knocked off" this way , must first be returned to the board before any other pieces can be moved by its owner. Win backgammon by reaching the end of the board with all your pieces before your opponent. You may only remove your pieces from the board once they are ALL in your opponent's starting quadrant. The further back your opponent's pieces are in the board, the more points you receive when winning. If you feel confident in your victory, the doubling cube may be used to double the score of your victory. Refusing the cube forfeits the game.
