This Army Attack strategy guide and walkthrough will provide you with a quick start guide, tips and tricks, hints and cheats to help you defeat your opponents.

Combat Basics

  • To attack an enemy unit, whether they are fighting units or defensive units like minefields or barricades, move one of your combat units to an adjacent tile. When you move your mouse pointer over the enemy unit, it will turn red; click it to attack.
  • If you have more combat units on adjacent tiles, each of the units within range will attack the target.

 army attack

  • An attack will always cost you one energy, whether you attack with just one unit or with multiple units. Use this to your advantage, but be careful: if you make too many moves moving other units to the target, if it’s a combat unit it will attack the unit that is already on one of its adjacent tiles.
  • Hovering the mouse over any unit will show you the unit’s type and statistics. The top bar shows the unit’s health, the ‘attack’ statistic shows the unit’s attack strength, and the ‘range’ statistic shows the unit’s range.
  • If your combat unit has an attack statistic of 1, and the enemy’s unit had a health of 2, it will take two turns to defeat the enemy unit. However, if you attack with two combat units with an attack statistic of 1, your total attack strength will be 2, thus it will only take you one turn to defeat the enemy unit.
  • If you have a combat unit with a long range of attack, such as the artillery, you can attack targets from a distance, keeping your combat unit safe from damage.
  • When you hover the mouse over your combat unit, the yellow area surrounding the unit will show you its range. This also goes for an enemy’s long distance combat units; hover your mouse over the unit to check if your own units are within its range.

 army attack

  • Enemy units will usually only move when you move your units around. However, in due time, enemy units will also move on their own, advancing towards your troops or your territory.
  • Hover your mouse over an enemy unit to check its ‘Ready to act’ statistic, which will tell you when the unit will next move on its own.

 army attack

  • Clearing most defensive units, such as minefields, barricades, or propaganda towers, will only cost you energy. Attacking them will not damage your units.
  • Be careful however for defensive units such as watchtowers or bunkers, which will attack and damage your units.
  • To heal a unit, click the ‘heal’ button, and then click the unit you want to heal. When hovering over the unit, you will see how many resources it will cost to heal the unit.
  • If your troops are badly damaged and have lost over half their health, a little wrench icon will flicker next to the unit. If a unit has lost all its health, you will have two days to heal the unit. If you do not heal a unit that has lost all its health within two days, you will permanently lose it.
  • Extra units can be bought in the shop, but the maximum number of a certain type of unit is limited. Build buildings to allow more units on the battlefield.

Resources, Energy, and Cash

  • Resources are used to heal your units, relocate buildings or sold to towns for cash.
  • Most of your actions in the game will cost you energy units. Every five minutes, one energy unit is automatically earned back. When you level up, your energy is completely restored.
  • Cash is used to pay for things in the shop, such as units, buildings and extra supplies.
  • When defeating an enemy unit, a random amount of resources, energy, and/or cash will be dropped. Be sure to pick it up before it disappears.
  • Coming back to the game every day will earn you free resources, energy, and cash.
  • When you have a building, on set time intervals it will have a bonus supply of resources, energy, and cash available for you. The time intervals between these bonuses depends on the building, so keep an eye out for when your next bonus is due.

  • When starting the game, you can hold a maximum of 600 resources. Buy extra storage space in the shop if necessary.

Inventory: Items and Collections

  • When defeating enemy units, they will often drop inventory items and collection items, such as cement, hard hats, tactical maps, or hand grenades. These can also be gifted by allies (your friends).
  • Hover over an item in your inventory to check which enemy units are most likely to drop the item that you are looking for.
  • Press the plus-sign next to an item in the inventory, and click the ‘share’ button, to ask your friends for a specific item.

 army attack

  • Inventory items are used to finish buildings. You cannot finish a building until you have enough of the required items.

 army attack

  • Collection items come in different categories. When you have at least one of each item in a collection, you can go to the collections tab in the inventory screen, and trade a collection for a diversity of rewards.
  • On the bottom left of the screen, there is a button ‘fire call’. By completing these collections, you can call upon extra powerful attacks.

Buildings

  • By building certain buildings, you will be able to get more combat units onto the battlefield at the same time.

 army attack

  • First buy a building, and then click on it a couple of times to build it.
  • Finish building it by gathering the inventory items required. There is no time limit for this, so just wait until you have gathered enough items.
  • By using the ‘tools’ button, buildings can be relocated or removed. Relocating a building will cost resources, while removing a building will earn you 10% of It is original value in cash.
  • When you have a building, on set time intervals it will have a bonus supply of resources, energy, and cash available for you. The time intervals between these bonuses depends on the building, so keep an eye out for when your next bonus is due.

Defenses

 army attack

  • To help your combat units in defending your land, you can build defenses.
  • Passive defenses, such as minefields and barbed wire, will hold back an enemy unit trying to take over a certain tile.
  • Active defenses such as watchtowers or bunkers, will actively attack any enemy unit within its range.
  • Like combat unit, defensive units also have a health bar. Heal these units when they take too much damage or you will lose your defenses.

Goals and Missions

 army attack

  • On the left of your screen, there are several large icons. The top icon is your rank, while any icons under it are your Strategic Goals and Tactical Missions.
  • To proceed through the ranks, collect medals, and conquer land.
  • Click on an icon to see the details of that mission, check the requirements for completing a Strategic Goal or Tactical Mission, and see how far along you are.
  • You can complete these Strategic Goals and Tactical Missions in any order that you want, but your advancement through the game is usually dependant on the ‘Strategic Goal’.
  • To expand the playing field, and find new Strategic Goals and Tactical Missions, you can buy new maps in the shop. It does not matter in which order you buy these.

Allies: Helping Your Friends

  • Aside from sending over free gifts every day, you can also help your allies (your friends) on the battlefield. This will earn you experience points, resources, and ally points.
  • Actions you can choose to help your ally with include clicking on an enemy unit to attack it, or clicking on an ally unit to heal it.
  • Performing these actions will not cost you any of your personal energy points or resources. Instead, every day, you can perform a total of five ally actions. It does not matter which action you choose, just no more than five per day per ally.
  • Gathering more allies means you can earn more experience, receive more items and get more help on your own battlefield.
