Strategy Guide To Energy, PVP, Golden Keys, Forest, Battle Strategies, Skills, Skull, Rocks, Quests And More

Game Elements

battle gems

Energy

  • Used for normal battles or PVP.
  • Your energy will refill itself at a rate of one (1) energy per ten (10) minutes.
  • You can request energy from your Facebook friends (if you are connected to Facebook).
  • Purchasing the FOUNDER package provides you with infinite energy.

Energy Trick (for iOS and Android Devices only)

  • If it still works, this trick will provide  you infinite Energy and Golden Keys. To restore Energy, go to your device's "Date and Time" settings, then advance the current time to +2 hours, return to the game and you will get +12 Energy! For Golden Keys, advance the date for 1 day, or until you have 3 of them.

PVP (Person Versus Person)

  • PVP is optional (crossed swords on the lower left area). Get Titles to receive PVP only items from the Shop, also consumes Energy per fight.

Golden Keys

  • You will need three (3) Golden Keys to unlock most of the game’s areas. Anyone who has purchased the FOUNDER package has a Skeleton Key which can unlock every area of the game without waiting.
  • You can request golden keys from your Facebook friends (if you are connected to Facebook).
  • Users who cannot ask their friends for help (NOT connected to Facebook, Offline play, etc) will be asked to wait before proceeding, or simply do the Energy Trick above if it is still working.

The "Woodknot Forest" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Follow Tutorials as you go on to learn the basics.
  • Practice basic attacks, "longer is better", do "Perfects", and use Crit Gems.

Know about Skills

  • Too bad we cannot select or equip auto attack skills, and they are used randomly in battle. Example, we can't manipulate Potions Attacks to just do Healing, because sometimes it will randomly throw Poison or Molotov. Poison can't be skipped, and Molotov is a must have to open one of the best Skill Powers in the game.
  • Simply learn all skills as you go on, it's ok.

What are Skull Gems? (Crit Gems)

  • Crit Gems provide you with bonus damage. Bonus damage increases every time your gem line touches the side of the Crit Gem. The more sides of the Crit gem that your gem line touches, the more damage that you do (the Skull's eyes opens wider).

How to Get "PERFECTS"!?

  • Get a "Perfect" by swiping 5 or more gems without missing any, for a bonus damage. Example: Select and connect a group of Blue Gems, but make sure that there are no unconnected Blue Gem/s around that group.

Intro to Items (Shop Items)

  • Take Note: Simply by purchasing or owning an item will give you all of its Stats, so the more items you buy or own, the better because all stats from those items will determine your overall Stats.
  • Equipping an item simply is  for "looks", so feel free customize your Character the way you want.

Stats Building Guide

  • Buy all items with Heart (❤ +?) bonuses, to increase and maintain a higher Max Health at your current level, then buy all other items without a Heart bonus once you reach the top most area.
  • Personally, I prefer this option because you will get higher Max Health, thus better survivability compared to other Characters around same Lvl. Attack Stats should still be good since you are purchasing more advanced items than the usual method.
  • Take Note: Damage outputs are purely based from your performance ("dissolving Gems").
  • Always Remember: Start purchasing the items you want, once you have enough Gold. At higher levels, look for Health items that is best for your current Gold.

Leveling Guide (For More Stats)

Continue and always complete the nearest red spots from your current position, except for some Boss stages later on though because you can do them later if you want. Some red stages will require you to beat them a number of times, simply  battle them again and again till you get the required item or number of fights (?/?).

  • You should complete Hide and Seek quests to increase your Lvl, Stats, and to open up future Boss Fights.

What Are Caged Gems? (Chains)

  • Some gems are covered by chains, making them unusable. Use Gems beside the cages to break them. You can see how strong a chain is by the number remaining on the chain. Once the chain is broke you can use the gem trapped beneath it.
  • Intro to Powers! (Talents) Quest #22: Darth Hater (Power: Combo Master)
  • You will get your first Power once you defeat Darth Hater.
  • To equip a Power, go to your Character Page, the icon (far left) on the bottom navigation bar. Select View Powers, then find the unlocked Power. Put a check mark on it then hit "SAVE" below, don't forget to hit Save or else it won't work.
  • Unlock more Powers as you go on, and use them to your strategies. You can equip up to 4 Powers at the same time, and you can edit them from the world map or during battle.

What Are Rocks? (Stones)

  • Use Gems beside them to break them up, Three hits will smash them to dust.

Before entering the next area, make sure you have completed all stages here, including side quests. Check the shop if all items you prefer are purchased.

The "Dragon Peak" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Start Practicing your new Power (Combo Master), but as much as possible, only chain 4 or more Gems, otherwise stick to the "longer is better" strategy. Focus more on your Tetraphobia Power once you get it.

Quest #47: Dreadwing's Lair (Power: Tetraphobia)

  • Immune to all Weapon Attacks (Red Gems)
  • Complete Quest #32 first to get the Defense Potion Skill, to help you survive these boss battles.
  • Strategy: Use all other Gems first, only clear a long series of Red Gems if you don't have any other Gems to dissolve. Dissolve potions for a chance to get a Defense Up.
  • In case you cannot complete this, advance and buy more items, especially Health + items.
  • Congratulations, you now have a powerful skill to use!, make sure you equip it.
  • You can unlock this Power's awesome damage after your 3rd turn, here's an example: 1st Turn: [Red], 2nd turn: [Blue], 3rd turn: [Green], then 4th turn: [Potions] From here on including Potions, you will get a huge bonus damage or healing! Your 5th turn should be [Red] again, then [Blue], and so on. If you can master this skill, the game would become easier.
  • Chain 3 or more Gems each, it's ok, the output would still be high!
You can interchange the series of Gems above as long that the Gem that you will dissolve next is not the same from your previous turn or turns. Always remember your pattern, if it's broken, start again.

Quest #49: Frostgore's Lair

  • Immune to all Magic Attacks (Blue Gems)
  • Strategy: Similar to Quest #47 above.

What Are Slimes?

  • Slime reduces the damage you can do if a Gem with a slime is used. Use them still to clear the slimes, possible up to 3 layers. This is not a problem though if you are using Tetraphobia.

Quest #53: Corpsefang Lair (Power: Critical Bit)

  • Immune to all Pet Attacks (Green Gems)
  • Strategy: Similar to Quest #47 above. Equip and Save new Power after the fight.

Quest #55: The Dragon King (Power: Beast Master)

  • What Are Lava Levels?
  • When lava covers a line of gems, they become unusable until you push the Lava down. There are 3 ways to lower the lava level: Get a "Perfect", use a Crit Gem, or attack using 7 or more Gems.
  • After the fight equip and save your 4th Power.
After the boss fight above, you will now need to get 3 Golden Keys in order to unlock the new area, refer to the Golden Keys section at the top of this guide for more info on how to get them.
  • In case you want to wait instead, use your Energy for PVP or Gold farming. Save your Gold to buy the items you want later.

The "Deathly Hollow" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply focus on your Tetraphobia Power, this will help you a lot vs slime stages. Combo Master is situational, but don't forget.

Quest #83: The Death Knight (Power: Weird Science)

  • Replace Critical Bit to use Weird Science.

Quest #88: Lord of the Undead (Power: It Takes Two)

  • "It Takes Two" is better if you are only using 2 types of Gems, it would be useless if you are using Tetraphobia so I don't recommend it. Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.

The "Mystic Moors" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power! Combo Master is situational, but don't forget.

Quest #120: Eye of Sore'ahn (Power: Wizardry)

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.

Quest #121: The Pyromancer (Power: Arcanist)

  • Similar strategy to Quest #55 above.
  • Arcanist is a very nice buff for your Magic Attacks (around 50% Critical Chance!)
  • Equip and Save [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Combo Master], and [Weird Science].

The "Deadly Dunes" Area

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power! Combo Master is situational, but don't forget.

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.

The "FantAsia" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Same as above…

Quest #187: Shenlong the Dragon (Power: Master of Strategy)

  • Master of Strategy is a nice addition to increase Tetraphobia.
  • Once you are done here, earn and prioritize items with more than 3 Heart (❤ +?) bonuses, buy other items with less than 4 Heart bonuses later if you have extra Gold. Items with no Heart bonus should be bought after reaching the top most area to keep your Health high around your level.

The "Scorched Lands" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power!
  • Powers: [Tetraphobia], [Master of Strategy], [Combo Master], and [Weird Science].

Quest #220: Good Grill Hunting (Power: Arcane Feedback)

  • Arcane Feedback is another great Power for your Magic Attacks, the "Damage over Time" effect inflicts huge damages per turn!

The "Scurvy Seas" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power!
  • Powers: [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Arcane Feedback], and [Master of Strategy].
  • If you are having trouble with Quest #242: Aqua Bat Attack or any side stages around here, you may skip it for now, come back when you have the "Unbreakable" Power at Quest #226 and with better Max Health (buy more Health items).

Quest #226: Release the Braken (Power: Unbreakable)

  • The description is somewhat a bit off, but anyway, this Power will give you Health overtime and it will go on as long that your enemy hits you. If you massively Heal yourself, you can also get a high regeneration rate!
  • Equip and Save: [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Arcane Feedback], and [Unbreakable].

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.

The "Castlepainya" Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power!
  • Powers: [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Arcane Feedback], and [Unbreakable].
  • Once you reach this point, simply buy Health (❤ +?)  items, that is best for your current Gold, choose wisely. Don't worry, as long that you are focusing on purchasing Health items, it's ok.

Quest #278: Dr. A. Cula (Power: Dodge)

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.
  • Useful only for long fights.

Quest #286: Dracustein Frankula (Power: Weapon Master)

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.

The "Dark Labyrinth" Area

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power!
  • Powers: [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Arcane Feedback], and [Unbreakable].

Quest #372: Survival Mode (Power: Pie Lover)

  • Gather more Powers then experiment with this Power at later levels if you want.
  • The trigger chance is low though.

Quest #385: Championship Match (Power: Steel Skin)

  • Steel Skin is also a nice Power to increase your survivability!

The "Elemental Mts." Area

Battle Strategies

  • Simply continue focusing on your Tetraphobia Power!
  • Powers: [Tetraphobia], [Arcanist], [Arcane Feedback], and [Steel Skin].

Quest #404: Party Time (Power: Untamable)

  • Untamable is actually a pretty nice Power for Tetraphobia users, because it's effect can greatly help you dissolve the Gems you need for the combos, plus, the trigger chance is also good.
  • I would still recommend Steel Skin this time though, because monsters around this level can really hit you hard.
