  • This FrontierVille game has added a good feature i.e. “Wishlist”.  Everybody can use it in the game which will help the player in completing difficult collections.
  • In case you are in the Collection menu area, you can look along the top of the screen and here will be “Wishlist”
  • When  you scroll through all the collections in progress you will find items that you have are in the windows with the quantity listed at the bottom, and those you do not have are faded in the background.
  • Small piece of paper with a green “+” symbol will be there at the bottom of each faded image.
  • In case you require an item that you extremely needed for a collection, then you can click on this symbol and it will automatically be added to your wishlist along the top. (Note that this is a toggle button so if you hit it by mistake just click again and it will move off of the list.)
  • IMPORTANT TIP  :  In case you have several collections that only need 1 item to complete those are the items you should put in your Wishlist.
  • IMPORTANT TIP  : Make sure to upgrade your Wishlist time and again.

Sending Wishlist Items from Collection Menu or Neighbor Menu

 frontierville

frontierville

  • As you do tasks, it is inevitable that you will have duplicates of many items.
  • Most likely one of your Neighbors is looking for this item and needs it.
  • Make sure to keep an eye on the live feeds and in case you see a friend that needs an item that you have, here is how to send it to him or her.
  • As example, if your Neighbor needs the Bird nest and you see it on their Wishlist, you check your Collections inventory and you see that you have 5.
  • Click on the tiny pink gift icon under the Bird Nest image and a menu will appear that will let you gift this item to your Friend.
  • You can type your friends name into the search box and after you confirm the identity click on “Send”
  • This item will go to your Neighbor and they will have to approve the gift from their gift page at Facebook. (See “Receiving Gifts from Neighbors” if you need more information.)
  • TAKE NOTE : Another handy feature is the Wishlist is also located in the Neighbor Menu! Place your cursor over your Neighbor’s picture and if they have a wishlist prepared the items will be shown immediately. IF you have items in inventory that can be gifted it will say “Send Gift” in green. If you do not then it will be blank. (NOTE – Quantities are not shown here so you may want to check quantities before you send.)

Frontierville Buildings

 frontierville

  • Presently, there are eight Structures you can build and place on your land in Frontierville. The covered Wagon is considered a “Building” and you are given one free Covered Wagon at the Beginning of the game with the option to purchase more if you would like.
  • Once you are ready to buy your building it is important to understand that you are only purchasing the frame and not the finished building. You will have to finish it and collect all supplies for it.
  • When you buy the frame set it on the land where you want it and click to lock it in. (It can be moved later if you wish.)
  • Place your cursor over the structure and it will tell you how many clicks are needed to complete. (These are known as “Whacks”)
  • The School House takes 30 Whacks to complete therefore you would need at least 30 energy. (Best to do this after Neighbor visits)
  • A building usually has a cost of Wood and Coins so be sure you have enough by checking with the Market as you plan to build.
  • TAKE NOTE :  If you see the cost of Wood for a structure this is Per Click. Here is an Example: The School House Takes 30 “Whacks” to build and the cost is 12 Wood. This means 12 Wood per Whack so you will need 360 Wood to build the School in addition to other supplies.
  • When you complete the clicks a menu will appear telling you that you need a certain number of 5 different items. (varies from 1 to 8 of each item)
  • These items must be collected from your Neighbors as free gifts.
  • If you do not have enough, gift icon is there  and you can click on this icon and request specific items from your Neighbors.
  • When  you do have all items needed simply click on “Finish” and the building will appear completed.
  • So, now you can click on the building and you will see 2 or 3 options.
  • The very first option is “Collect Bonus” and it appears only if you can collect the bonus. It will be a bonus of coins, resources or XP and you can collect it once every 24 hours. (Clock resets at 8PM EST.)
  • Besides these, other Options available are:
  • Customize :  This allows you to change the color and look of the structure and can be changed anytime with no fee.
  • Crafting Workshop : You should click on “Go Inside” and you will see a “Crafting Workshop” Menu.
  • Each Building with the exception of the School House has a crafting workshop that allows you to take items you have collected and make 2 special items to complete collections and goals in the game.
  • The more buildings you have completed the more daily bonuses you can collect and the more specialized items you can produce. This will help you level up much faster.
  • Buildings are an important part of the game and you should plan carefully the order you wish to purchase them and make room.
  • A Free Covered Wagon is given to you.  The Cabin and General Store will be requested in Challenges so be sure to wait to until you get those Goals to purchase them.
  • Look below and you will find what is needed to build a Cabin. Note that each building in the game has different requirements but follows this general pattern.

 frontierville

frontierville

  • IMPORTANT TIP :  When you play the game you will be tempted to purchase the really great buildings to start building them but it is wise to wait. The goals will lead you and soon you will build a Cabin, and a General Store well before level 9. So be sure to build these items when the goals tell you too. It will make things much easier for you.
  • Presently, there are eight  buildings in the game at this time. (The Covered Wagon is considered a building since it gives shelter and has to be built like the others.)
  • When  you build buildings or large Structures such as the Covered Wagon you are given the opportunity to customize these items.
  • In the goal area you will be told how much of each material you will need. (Read information about “Frontierville Buildings”)
  • You will get  these materials by Chopping Trees and getting tools from your Neighbors as free gifts.
  • TAKE NOTE  : Tools are very important at this point so be sure to start requesting them right away when you see buildings in your goals.
  • When you purchase the building from you will need to place it on the land you have cleared.
  • You will need to work on this structure by clicking on it. Each Structure takes a specific number of hits to build. (Aka “Whacks”)
  • When you have the correct amount of supplies and you are able to click on the structure, it will be built and can be used from this point on.
  • TAKE NOTE  : Each day you will be able to collect a bonus from these Buildings. When you are at the point where you have many buildings make it a habit to start the game and go down the line clicking on all your bonuses to get it out of the way and ensure you don’t miss any.
  • Every Building once complete can be customized with a choice of 3 styles to choose from and a color menu to make your buildings look however you like. You can update this anytime.

Crafting Workshops

  • Different crafting workshop is inside each structure that is a  for you to make 2 items for your Homestead.
  • TAKE NOTE : There are only 8 buildings available in the game at this time but this could change at any time and this guide will be updated periodically when new buildings are added.
  • TAKE NOTE  : Items crafted inside buildings may change periodically.
  • School House :  At this time there is a Daily Bonus and you can Customize the School House but there is no Crafting Workshop at this time. There is a message that says, “School’s Out” and “Come back Soon”. This guide will be updated once any changes are made in the School House. Since the free gift area is offering School related items, it is anticipated that the School will be upgraded soon.

  • Here is an Example:  Clover takes 5 minutes before it is ripe for Harvest. Once it is you have 5 minutes to harvest it or it will wither. If you’re going to be away for awhile be sure you plant crops that take awhile such as Wheat or Cotton.
  • We append below a  Chart below. It has a break down of all information about a specific crop in Frontierville.

Live Your Adventure

Here is a storyline of the game to guide you on what to do next. But, this is your adventure!  Rundown of tools are there that you will be using throughout the game. Use the screenshot below as reference.

 frontierville

All status and progress bars are found on top. From left to right, you have the following:

  • Coins : Coins indicates how many coins you have and used to purchase items from the market
  • Wood : Wood shows how much wood you’ve collected from chopping trees
  • Food  :  A number of food points for you to purchase meals to increase your energy
  • Energy  :  How much energy points left for you to do activities and 1 point is refilled every 3 minutes
  • Experience Level  :  what level you are at and points you need to reach the next one

Below that, the icons at the left show the number of horseshoes you have, which is used to purchase special items; quest icons, which you need to fulfill to help you move forward within the storyline; and the gift box to send (or receive) gifts.

On the right side, main icons are there: My Tools, Cancel, Market and My Stuff. Special actions such as move, rotate, delete and tend are found under the My Tools icon. These are used when you need to organize items and need to tend to your town. Canceling a current action can be done through the Cancel icon. Opening the Market will allow you to purchase crops, decorations, buildings, trees, animals and meals.

There is a My Stuff icon and  this icon will show the gifts that you receive from friends, inventory items used for building and living your family life, your family album where you can find all your avatars to customize, and chest of collections that lists items you found and exchange rewards for.

Above your neighbor list, you will see your Homestead’s name, which includes a small sun icon beside it that acts as the “tip of the day”.

How to Customize Your Avatar

When you start the game, it will give you a chance to customize your look. Choose your gender, clothes, hair and skin color, facial features and if you’re a girl, then put some blush on. You can also click on the Random button to scroll through “ready to wear” avatars.

This can be done at later stage. At any point of time, you can click on the My Stuff icon and open the Family Album to change your look.

Tame the Wilderness

For starting building a small civilization, you need space to plant crops, have livestock, grow trees and add decorations. To do this, you need to “tame the wilderness” and make it more livable.

You should start clearing some grass, rocks, wild flowers and skulls. Chop down some trees. Each activity will give you experience points and some coins. At times, a collection item will appear which you can add to your stash and food points.

Important Tip when chopping trees: As time goes by, these trees will grow and reach its maximum size. To get more wood, focus on cutting down fully grown trees. Leave the young ones until they are ready. As of this writing, a full grown oak tree will take 12 chops and 8 for a pine tree.

Defend your Land

Living in the wilderness has its downside. Snakes, groundhogs and bears appear to scare livestock and ruin crops. You need to defend your land by clobbering them. It takes several punches for them to leave but reward you more for your effort.

Important Note :  When they appear, items near them will turn red. In this case, some of the grass and rocks are now in the “danger zone”. If you try to clear these items while the snake is still there, you will lose an extra energy point.

Get rid of them first then do your activities as normal.

Farm and Ranch Management

Living in the wild will mean fending for yourself and there is a need to grow your own crops and grow livestock. You can have both a farm and a ranch in the game.

There is no need to dig plots  to start planting crops. Going to the market and choosing your crop will automatically plant them (plot included). Be sure you have space dedicated to your farm. Place fences around it. Mouse over growing crops to know the harvest time. When they’re ready, harvesting them will clear the land. Remember that it will wither if not harvested in time, however, you still get a few coins, so it’s still not a total waste.

 frontierville

Having animals will mean feeding them ever so often. Each animal has its “harvest time” which really means they need to be fed at that point.

Each time you feed your animals and harvest crops, you are rewarded with points or coins. Remember that you also lose one energy point for each task except when you plant.

Fulfill Quests

Interestingly enough, most quests that appear in the gameare connected to the main storyline. The benefit of fulfilling them (other than being curious on how the story unfolds) is getting more rewards and leveling up faster.

Some quests need several steps to be completed. Say, getting married will mean preparing your farm, increase your wealth, and adding more decorations.

Today’s Weather

You will get a daily reward when you visit and also a tip or two, which will subtly affect your activities during gameplay. In this case, you get a free farmer hat and it’s a good day to cut down trees to get more energy points and collection items.
