Can't purchase gems. Everything else works.

Ive the game will get better the better the player gets. Also, Everytime I'm on Arena and beat level 4 I alsoways lose battle 5. It does this with level 8 and 10. Why does this happen. Is their a run around to keep from playing the bots all the time, or at least the players that score closer to the center than 1 or less (0.78, 0.34) things like that .
