Create Special Jewels

You can create special jewels by making matches of four or more jewels. Matching four jewels in a row or column creates a lightning jewel, which can be used to remove a single row or column of jewels. Matching five jewels in an L or T shape creates a bomb jewel, which can be used to remove all the jewels in a 3x3 area. Matching five jewels in a row or column creates a rainbow jewel, which can remove all jewels of one color from the board.

Plan Your Moves

Before you start making matches, take a look at the board and plan your moves. Make sure to look for the most efficient way to clear the board, and use special jewels to help you clear the most jewels in one move. For example, if you have a bomb jewel surrounded by jewels of the same color, use the bomb jewel to clear the jewels in one move instead of making several matches.

Make Combos

Making combos is one of the best ways to get a high score. A combo is a chain of matches that are made in quick succession. Every time you make a match, the remaining jewels will rearrange, creating new matches. If you can make a new match before the jewels stop moving, you will get a combo bonus. Try to make as many combos as possible to rack up points.

Set Up Chain Reactions

Chain reactions are when two or more special jewels are used in succession. For example, if you use a lightning jewel to remove a row of jewels, and that row contains a bomb jewel, the bomb jewel will be activated and remove a 3x3 area of jewels. Try to set up chain reactions to clear large sections of the board in one move.

Use Power-Ups

Power-ups can give you an edge when you're stuck and can't make any more matches. You can purchase power-ups with coins, or earn them by completing levels. The hammer power-up can be used to remove a single jewel from the board. The magic wand power-up can be used to remove all jewels of one color from the board. The bomb power-up can be used to remove a 3x3 area of jewels.
