- Study a wide range of topics, including history, science, literature, and pop culture, to increase your chances of knowing the answer to any given question.
- Use lifelines strategically. Phone a Friend can be helpful for questions in which you have some idea but aren't sure, while Ask the Audience can be useful for questions you have no idea about.
- Read the question carefully and make sure you understand what it's asking. Don't rush to answer.
- If you're not sure about an answer, it's often better to guess than to leave the question unanswered. You have a 25% chance of getting it right if you guess, while you have a 0% chance if you don't answer at all.
- Don't get too confident if you've answered several questions correctly in a row. Keep your focus and treat each question as its own challenge.
- Stay calm and don't let nerves get the best of you. Remember that you have nothing to lose by trying, and that you can always walk away with the money you've already earned.
- Practice with online trivia games or study guides to get used to the format and types of questions you may encounter.
