Getting Started
- Learn the rules of the game. Make sure that all players understand the rules before starting the game.
- Choose a partner. Make sure that all players are aware of who their partner is and that each team is sitting opposite each other.
- Decide who will play first. You can do this by having players cut the deck, with the highest card being the starting player.
During the Game
- Bid strategically. Bidding is an important part of the game, and should not be done haphazardly. Consider the cards you have, the cards your partner has, and the cards that have already been played before bidding.
- Be mindful of your opponents' bids. Pay attention to what your opponents are bidding, as it will give you an idea of how many tricks they are aiming for and how aggressive they are.
- Know when to play a high card. If you have a high card, such as an Ace or King, it is usually best to play it early in the round. This will prevent your opponents from taking the trick with a lower card.
- Watch for opportunities to void a suit. If you don't have any cards in a particular suit, it is usually best to void that suit as soon as possible. This will prevent your opponents from taking tricks in that suit.
- Keep your partner informed. Let your partner know which cards you have and which cards have already been played. This will help your partner make better decisions when it comes to playing their cards.
End of the Game
- Keep track of your score. It is important to keep track of the score throughout the game so that there is no confusion at the end.
- Calculate the final result. At the end of the game, add up the number of tricks each team has taken and compare it to their bids. The team with the highest score wins.
- Start a new round. Once the scores have been calculated, the game can begin again. The player to the left of the dealer will be the new starting player.
