Are there any guide lines/rules on how to play this game??? I am having trouble with creation of my 3rd word of each game...I get you can create a "ee" word like bee or pee. What's with this use of two vowel letters joined together--- like ei or ie, ae or ea??? I just don't get how to create those 2 letter words so I create points that count. I always get a whopping "0" points when I am left with just these vowel letters. Help!!! Any words of advice would be grately appreciated. TIA Toots |

@Toots, I'm not an excellent player, but I have discovered a few tricks. Perhaps don't worry so much about the third word. Do the best you can with the letters for the first two words. Vowel combos that work for 2 letter "words" are oi, oe, aa, and ai. For highest scores, I've noticed it helps to get as many of the double and triple letters and double and triple word bonuses in one word as you can. And to try to use the highest-valued letters too. I've also found it's helpful to google things that I've had difficultly with in the last game: eg. words that have "q" but no "u", or words with "z", or "j" words. High points in those letters but only if you find a way to use them! |
