We chose to use an isometric game engine, so we created shot-by-shot breakdowns of the mechs and then put them together in the game. Those times were fun.:

Our idea man, tester, and even map creator (you might have seen his map in the Operation Jellyfish finale and some other locations). A moderator that has not only been managing the official community, but also kept the fan comminuty afloat. Even though Alexey is not that well known here on Facebook, the good and the bad he mentions is common in the community worldwide. So we spoke to him about the end of the game. Gentlemen and ladies, meet Alexey. Alexey, how did you take the news about the developer no longer updating the game, and its likely shutdown? Its a shame that such a beautiful and promising project has been abandoned while its precursor, VEGA Conflict, is still supported and pretty popular. But really, even before the announcement, everyone suspected that the end was near, its been a long time since they did anything significant with the game. But it was still a letdown since we kept hoping for the best. Unfortunately, the project had to be scrapped... I think the community feels the same. Do you remember when you first started playing Titans? When was that? How did you learn about the game? I started playing around November 2014. Yeah, that was a really long time ago. I was scrolling through games on the VK social network and found a cool pic of a robot and a tank. Decided to give it a go, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a full-fledged strategy game that wasnt cartoony and looked like a hardcore robot game should. It really stood out from the rest of the browser games on VK at the time. It just seemed greater. And the rest is history. Tells us about your clan. When did you join? Do you guys have a permanent roster? My clan... Heh... Adeptus Mechanicus. Im its founder and all-time leader since all the way since December 2015. roster has changed up a bit since everyone has personal issues sometimes, and people go on vacations, but mostly, members were always ready to help, and some even logged in right from their countryside gardens, flights, or vacations. What if somebody wasnt able to play. Did you share accounts with each other? Well, yeah, there was an occasion I had to multitask on four accounts at once. It was horrible. Are there any people that you met in-game and still keep in touch with? All of us hang out in a dedicated VK chat since you cant send emojis, pics, and links to the necessary resources in-game. Its gotten a bit quiet now because everyone got tired of the same old same old and some left for other projects. Have you met up with anyone from the community in real life? No, I never met my clanmates. I dont really like to mix games with IRL. And, as far as I know, only a couple of guys live in my town. We once made a poll about this to find out what people thought about meeting IRL. And most of them said they wouldnt want to. Why do you think that is? Its easier to communicate on the internet than IRL. People are used to interacting with an avatar instead of a real person. If we were to meet for real, it wouldve been better to start off with Skype or something like that. To get used to each others voices first, and then to each others mugs. Which robot do you like best? My favorite one is the Hector B-103. I destroyed a ton of bases with them, and its a great design. Its a pity that they took away ability to construct them later on, and the event became a one-off thing... What about your favorite event? Operation Yeti. It was the very first, and the most unusual one. You could get three elite robots out of it and the ability to construct them. That was where I got the Hector. What would you call your greatest achievement in the game? Its hard to say, since there are no actual achievements in the game, you just level up and get new robots - yeah, Im throwing shade on you guys here. Jokes aside, I consider it mutual achievement that for the longest time, clan placed first in the general leaderboards, and then often took second place on the tournament ladder. Your best and worst day on the project, what were they like? The worst was when I realized that we had slaved away, missed out on sleep, bought fuel, and fought till the last drop of blood trying to get to the top of the general rankings... but there was no reward. Or was that supposed to boost egos by itself? The developers never introduced any perks for the top players and clans. We were really close-knit, but sometimes had massive fights if someone screwed up or dragged their feet. Still, we stuck together and went on with the madness because of common interests. As for the happiest moment... No, I think it was actually when we relieved ourselves of a great burden and quit the tournaments. Quit obsessing with the rankings. That was in February 2019. I think we lasted really long and finished careers in a commendable way. We were just playing a game we liked and hung out as friends from 2015 to 2019. Thank you for the interview. I hope Facebook community members will find it in their hearts to relate.

The Story Behind Titans, pt. 4. Mechs Design The first generation of the battle mechs was designed by an artist who had studied shipbuilding and ocean engineering in Far Eastern Federal University in Russia. He had spent some time working in an engineering office, creating designs for shipyards, docks, and actual naval ships.... Thanks to a union of artistic and engineering outlooks, the mechs looked attractive and realistic from the very beginning. Well, as realistic as a 20-meter-long humanoid battle mech can be.

The Story Behind Titans, pt. 2 So at first, all we knew about this game is that was going to be a war strategy game set in the dark future, with an expressive name The Power. But on the logo, the word "Power" in Russian looked very similar to the words "Fall in" (like, "to fall into insanity") and "In the jaws", which gave rise to several local jokes. Not really a nice name for a nice game. Right?... In the course of discussion, we decided players would fight for power on huge battle mechs. nd the final decision about the game name we saved for later.

Commanders! While the last inhabitants are being evacuated from the occupied territories, we're looking back at how the universe itself was created. The Story Behind Titans, pt. 1It all started in 2057, when the asteroid that would later be named The Great was discovered. There was nothing particularly great about it. It was just an ordinary asteroid making its way to Earth. See More

Commanders! The story of Titans is coming to an end. Youve been faithfully carrying out your duty all these years. You joined the ranks of the United Command when the times were tough, and went on to fight the Corporation forces all while outnumbered and lacking in equipment.... You defiantly attacked ARMAs supply lines, distracting the enemy and ensuring that the residents of the occupied territories are evacuated to safety. Thank you, Commanders. Your mission is complete. The last transport ship will depart for Nova Terra on July, 21. After that, the operation of the Command forces will be finished. The game servers will shut down at 5 PM UTC on July, 21.
