Our Artists' Pick #3 is here! One of artists pick their personal favourite design from recent Design-a-Hero contest and turn it into something smashing! This week features a winged Nordic Goddess Hello guys, my name is Roksana and I'm an animator for Smashing Four. What immediately grabbed my attention were her piercing blue eyes - I love the fact that she has wings, helmet with horns and glowing ginger hair! And all the colors fit so well together. ...I'm not sure if this was the original idea of the character, but I see her as a Nordic goddess and even named her Freya! She looks heavenly but also mighty powerful! If she was in the game, she would fit best in the Hall of Heroes, although she would be the only one there! So here she is! I hope the author of the drawing finds that my 'smashified' version is doing justice to the original. I really enjoyed drawing her ^__^

Our Artists' Pick #2 is here! One of artists pick their personal favourite design from recent Design-a-Hero contest and turn it into something wonderful! Hi everyone! My name is Anelia, I'm the lead artist of the marketing team, and here's my Artist's Pick! I picked the ViKing because when I first saw him I immediately thought of a story for him - I see him as Barbarian's husband She boosts her attack and his defense gets stronger each time they cla...sh, so I think they were just meant to be together I tried to keep the design as close to the original as possible because it's gorgeous and I see a great sense of humor in it Even though he has no weapons he has an entire ship and two shields It was difficult to put this guy in one of existing arenas because we don't have water in any of them and that makes this hero even funnier and a little quirky. To "smashify" him I took inspiration from the Satyr and the Berserker. I had fun redesigning this hero and I hope you'll like it

Artist's Pick mini series is here! artists picked their personal fave design from the Hero design contest and redesigned it into Smashing Four-fit hero! Let us share the first artist's story & let us know what you think! The original design is by the talented daughter of a smasher who goes by name Ale9! Bonjour smashers!... My name is Quentin, I am the character artist for Smashing Four, and heres my Artist's Pick! When we saw all the applications, I immediately melted when I saw this ball of cuteness. This little goat girl with yellow horns and this cape instantly gave me the mood of a mountainous character. Moreover, because of the patterns on the skirt, I chose to reinforce it with a Slavic style. The visuals were there, now I needed to find a purpose for the little goat, something to show her ability - her interest. Mountains, goats, cuteness and a Slavic style led me to some vegetation - I had the idea for an Apprentice Herbalist! She had a little knife for cutting the plants and putting it in her herbarium. I added the flower crown after that, to reinforce the "close to the nature" mindset of the character. Et voil! A cute Apprentice Herbalist Goat Girl! I really liked redesigning this concept and I hope you'll like it too!
