What is the difference between your experience level and your happiness level? Link Your experience level is shared by all your islands, and you can only increase it. Basically, its an indication of your game progress. You increase it by completing quests, and the higher it is, the more options are available to you buildings, storylines, and so on. Your happiness level differs from island to island, and you can increase it, as well as decrease it. To increase the happiness level, build decorations, social, and entertainment buildings for your people. Higher levels of happiness unlock new residential buildings and allow you to increase population.
