Hi guys, It has been a while since the last time! These weeks I have been focusing on making the app as much stable as possible. I have been implementing tools to try to find every error to fix them. I use 3rd party assets to speed up with the development of Upgrade the game 4 but some error has been very difficult to track because of that. In those cases, the error fix takes a long time.... First, I must find the error and be sure that the error is from their part instead of my part, then, report the error to the asset developer with all the information and wait for a fix. In the meantime, I usually try to work around the situation (some times I can but others I just can wait), and on rare occasions, the asset developer just drops the support for the asset. For example, some of you have experienced "the infinite loading screen" bug that was related to the save system in the cloud. I used a 3rd party asset to save to Google Play Services and Game Center. The problem came from that asset. I workaround with the offline but it has taken a lot of time and resources to look into this error. This is something that I don't like to have in my game, and with more features and more 3rd party assets, the problem grows. So, I decided to instead of using 3rd party assets for some features, make my tools. This means that now I am building a "Suduck tool asset" that I can use for Upgrade the game 4 and future projects. I am investing a lot of time in the development of this tool. This will help me to solve some bugs faster and to make more robust and stable games. Right now I am working on it. I am fully testing all the features and making sure that it will work as expected. This is a huge change so in future versions of Upgrade the game 4 you can notice some minor changes in the way the things work. I want to have the stable version as fast as possible so I can start working on new features for Upgrade the game 4. See you soon!

Hello guys! The most anticipated new is here! Upgrade the game 4 closed beta will start on monday! These weeks I have fully tested every part of the game. I have invested a lot of time into playing it, balance it, test each part, and make lots of QoL (Quality of Life) improvements to make it more understandable and easy to play.... This doesn't mean there are no more bugs. There are always bugs! I will need your help to find them! That is the reason that I can officially say that the closed beta will start the next Monday! Yay! So to participate, I need you to send me your device mail in a private chat or just send an email to help@suduck.com so I can add you to the closed alpha. I will activate it on Monday. The news of Upgrade the game 4 is here! Hello guys, Theses weeks have been a little hard for me but I have continued working on UTG4. I have polished the last parts needed for the release of the game like the legal part (nobody like the legal stuff but it is necessary) The app store page and so on. They are finished! I have also worked a lot on the cloud save system since this is an important part. I think that now It is solid enough and you won't lose your data. There is a l...ot of edge-cases there so I spend a lot of time covering all of them. I did massive testing the app on every hero and weapon to try to balance every part. I may miss something but overall it is balanced. However, this is an ongoing process and I will balance as needed with each update. The Alpha version is very near! Maybe in two weeks or so ( If I discover something that needs more time I will delay it) but for now, that is the plan. So stay tuned! In the following weeks, I will ask for your device-emails to include you in the closed alpha version!

Also, I have started some tests on other persons but this is not easy since the quarantine is making it more difficult. For example, some people tapped on a chest when you earned expecting to go to the "chest menu", so I take the feedback and implement it. There are lots of examples there. I also use this to balance the game a bit more. The balance is something that is difficult to achieve correctly and lots of tweaks are needed to achieve the best option possible

Hello there! Welcome to the news again! It has passed some time before the last news, but I wanted to summarize everything in one new. The first week was used for full optimization. I want it to work on as many devices as possible so I wanted it to be as optimized as possible. This required sacrificing some of the good looking parts that only worked on the very high devices. Now, it has a new quality level setting that lets you specify the quality level in case that your devi...ce needs it or in case you want it to consume less battery. The second week I seek and found lots of bugs. I have been fixing them. Not much to say about this, something is not working as expected so I fix it After that, I have been working on how the systems work. Thinking again about how they work, what are fun, and what it's not. So basically I have to redesign a lot of systems to make them funnier. Also, I am rethinking the gameplay. Right now it is slow-paced and I want to have more enemies with less health so I will need to balance everything again. I think that the game is pretty great at the current state but I want it to be better so I will invest a couple of weeks more before releasing a beta.

Hi again! These two weeks have been intense! I have been working on the tutorial and I have finished the first one! Also, I wanted to do something to related Upgrade the game 3 and 4 so I made a little story at the beginning with some images so you can understand why we changed from space to medieval! There are still some typos in the tutorial that I need to correct but overall is looking good!... I also have made a tutorial for the upgrade part. I have worked a lot and making sure that the tutorial is not long and it can be completed as quickly as possible! I also have selected the music and changed some audios that I didn't like at all. I have recorded all the sounds and music! This has taken a while since I am in quarantine I have to do everything on my own, recording several sounds just to make sure that the funniest sound is applied to the game! I want it to be perfect! I also have been changed some QoL (Quality of life) improvements to make the game better, each time that I see something that can be improved I go for it. So there are still some tweaks around the game but I expect to start testing it heavily the next week! I will need to work also on the performance to make sure it works in every device. The end is very near!

The news has come! The development of Upgrade the game 4 is going well! I have finished the description of everything! (At least!) It has taken a while to finish all the description and passing them to a grammar checker to try to have them as perfect as possible. Anyway, any mistake can be made so please when you play it, don't hesitate to tell me about the grammar error that you find!... I have added a power-up system too that will help on some levels if you get stuck. The next part will be the tutorial and this can take a while since I need to make a tutorial that fits everyone and that can be tricky. Also, I will like to add some touch of humor. I can see the end of the development closer!

Hi there! The news is here! I am talking from the confinement of my home! Two weeks have been passed since I have been confined in my home, however, fear not. I continue working on the game! This week I have finished the UI Upgrades( Phew!), some upgrades will need to be implemented after but most of the work is done here!... I have started doing the description of the weapons, skills..etc. There is a lot of descriptions to do, so I am advancing a few of them each day. There are a lot of features and things to upgrade and each one needs to have a description so you can understand what it is for! Also, I have added humour to the descriptions to be funnier! Also, I have been working on the monetization, balancing it as I don't want to be intrusive and improving over the last game. Now I will give the premium currency so everyone can buy things in the premium shop! I think this will help the players Also, I have enumerated the things that left for the game to be finish and there are only few left! The tutorial part will take a lot of time since I want to have a tutorial flexible for everyone. As always, we are 1 week more near the end!

Welcome to the weekly news! This week I have been finishing the audio part ( but still need some changes to the music and some sounds). After that, I have been working on the UI (interface) upgrades! There is a lot of characteristics in Upgrade the game 4 therefore, there is a lot of interfaces to make and upgrade! This have take some time but I am near to end this task.... The game is growing each week of work! I have right now 75 upgrades! And I expect them to grow even more! This is the most ambitious Upgrade the game so far, with lots of features and lots of things to work on. Next week is time to start working on monetization, quality of life improvements and some changes to make everything better. I can see the release of the game each week closer! See you next week!

Welcome to the news! I have continued working on Upgrade the game 4 even with the crisis of coronavirus in my country! These two weeks I have been working on different parts! ... Working on the balance I noticed that the heroes part have a hole in the design because if you use a hero a lot you will level up him but you won't be able to select others because they are going to be on a low level. So before continue working on the balance I made a quality of life improvement making a new currency "Hero Exp" that you will earn so you can level up other heroes to try them! This has impacted other areas of the game and they will need more balance. However, I had a started point where I was able to begin with the audio part! I also worked on the audio as well. I have implemented the audio with its upgrade system on the menu and the game. However, the current audio clips may change since some of them don't fill as I will like. I will need to make the upgrades sound but I will delay it until I found the definitive sounds. Also, I need to find a good music track for the menu and the game The options with the sound and music volume work perfectly. I will continue working hard to make the best game that I can! Each week we are near to have an alpha phase of the game!

Welcome to the news! This week I have been focusing on the balance. So we can call this the balance week! This part of the development takes a lot of time since it is one of the most important parts. The balance decides when a game is fun or not. If the game is too easy it is boring, or if it is too difficult it is boring too. If you need to grind a lot or if you end the game too quickly it can be bored too. So try to find the balance between all the things is difficult and ...important and I don't want to mesh it up. So I will spend the next weeks perfecting the balance of everything to give you the best game experience possible. Right now this week I have been focused on the weapon skills, the cost of the skill, the experience/currency that you get at the end of the game, the damage of weapons and health of enemies and started with the balance of heroes. Each week, the alpha is near!

Hi there! Welcome to the news! This week I have continued making the graphic upgrades! I have completed all the basic graphics upgrades from the game and the menu. It will more upgrades for sure, but I just finish the basics one. I will like to have a base game for the alpha so you can test it and give me feedback! ... After completing the graphics upgrades, ( The interface still doesn't have upgrades, either the sound!) I have started with the balance of the game. I have balance the weapon skills gold cost and some basic balance for the firsts levels to start. There is the beginning of the balance and this can take some time. I need to make the game fun and some adjustments can take time. Each week we are closer to the alpha!

Hi there! This week, I had to continue been focused on the upgrades. I have implemented more upgrade to the game and the gameplay part have almost all upgrades, now I am making upgrades on the graphic of the menu. I am advancing well. There are some upgrades that need more time to implement due to the difficulties they present.... For example, in Upgrade the game 4 you will travel through islands, and these islands have different colors on the trees, grass, floor, and the upgrades need to represent the variety too, so I need to spend more time on this kind of upgrades. Hello all! This week I have advanced in the development of the upgrades! After finally end the themes so I can have a clear idea about how the game upgrades should go, I have started doing all the upgrades. I want to have lots of upgrades but I want them to look good at all stages so I am spending time on them.... The pixel art theme slow me a bit since It needs more work than other upgrades, but I think that it looks good I have advanced with the upgrades of enemies, bosses, heroes, weapons, weapon projectiles, background, and fortress. I expect the next week to continue working on upgrades, so we can have lots of them! I will continue working hard!

The news is here! These two past weeks have been tough. After ending and testing all the upgrades from enemies, bosses, and background, I looked at the game at the current state and felt that the game didn't improve enough from Upgrade the game 3. I always like to improve game after game. So I decided to rework all the upgrades in order to give something better that makes Upgrade the game 4 better than the 3rd part.... I have tried different approaches and i will like to say thanks you all to participate in the development of the game, giving me feedback about what do you like. It helps me to create a better game. So these two weeks I have reworked the upgrade system to make it better. Right now, instead of having only ugly squares, the upgrades have also theme consistency. So it starts 2D as black and white and it is getting better as you upgrade it with consistency. There is even a pixel art upgrade theme of the game! There is still a lot of work to do regard the upgrades, but I am starting feeling that this game will be much better than the last one and I think that this is a victory. See you the next week!

Welcome to the news! This week I have advanced in different ways to remember the state of the game! I have implemented a system that let you know the damage, attack speed, ultimate duration..etc of the weapons so you can choose better which weapon do you like more, there is still some reworking that I must do there but at least it is working. Also, I know that most of you like the graphics upgrade of the enemies so I have been thinking of new ways to implement the upgrades an...d it have been a success! Right now I have 11 enemy upgrades from 2D to 3D with animations and more! I have started implementing each upgrade of each enemy, this take some time since there are already 14 enemies and 5 bosses so I must 209 upgrades but I will continue putting all the effort in the game! Hello there! The news is there! This week has been a difficult week, I have working on the save system to make it the most perfect at it can be and It had several bugs that were hard to track, and fix but I am advancing on this and most of the bugs are gone. I also has been working on the event system. As I have told before, I am making a seasonal event system that will change over time with quest and rewards specifics to that season like Halloween, Christmas..etc Let me know... if you want a seasonal in special to add it! The system will have a daily quest and a "path" of rewards that you will get as you advance through dailies and the game itself I will continue working hard the next week! See you there!

A weekly news will start comming! New news about Upgrade the 4 has arrived! This week I have been working in several areas. ... The first one has been the Cloud Save. This is something that I am taking very serious since I don't want to lose your data in the process so I have been working on being able to save the data offline and online. This is still an on-going process and there is still a lot of work to do, but the system starts to take form. The next one has been a rebirth system. ( What is this?) Glad that you asked! This is a system that will give you artifacts after you make a rebirth like in Upgrade the game 2!. You can find a news artifact and level them up! Also, I continue working on the UI, I can say that I have around 35% of the UI and I will continue progressing on it! There are other things that I have been working but this one are the most important. See you on the next update!
