The matches are set up for Lords to get familiar with the battlefield and features before the regular season of Dragon Campaign. The Defender has 3 rows of soldiers, while the Attacker has only 1 row. The T13 Cavalry of the Attacker dealt a huge amount of damage. When facing an enemy with only 1 row, the defender's Pikeman can deal only a part of the damage. 3. The Attacker enhances the T13 Cavalry's talent skill to a very high level, which guarantees the T13 Cavalry's ability to deal damage and survive. 4. The Defender has a very high Defensive Damage and Defensive damage taken (reduction). The talent skills of T11 Pikeman and T13 Cavalry are triggered by chance. So they influenced the result of the battle. 5. If the Attacker uses only T13 Cavalry to attack again, the Defender could try the formation of Infantry Shield Soldier + T11 Pikeman. This attack failed because the Attacker's Offensive Damage/Damage Taken (Reduction) is lower than the Defender's Defensive Damage/Damage Taken (Reduction). 2. The Defender chooses Crossbowman to defend. T11 Crossbowman has the talent skill to increase Defensive Damage, and have a chance to attack first. So the Crossbowman killed many of the attackers soldiers. 3. We advise the Attacker to use Melee Cavalry to counter the Defender's soldiers that deal damage in the back rows. 4. When choosing Melee Cavalry, the attacker could choose T10 Cavalry, T11 Cavalry and T13 Cavalry. It is recommended to enhance the skills of increasing dodge so that the soldiers will attain a higher survival rate. These skills are - Dodge of T10 Cavalry + T11 Cavalry - Hurricane of T13 Cavalry 5. As for formation, we recommend Shield Soldiers + T11 Cavalry + T13 Cavalry. ADDITIONAL ARMAMENT DETAILS... Hey Lords, Here is some additional info about the new armaments. Hope it helps in your decisions on which troops to dress first. DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS Only T11, T12, and T13 troops can equip armaments. Armament equipped troops will replace the original ones and inherit their skill enhancements at the prayer hall. There are two choices for equipping, Razor and Tough Armor. - Razer armament equipped troops will grant all troops of the same type an increase in damage dealt to the soldiers which they counter. - Tough Armor equipped troops will provide all troops of the same type a decrease in damage dealt from the soldiers which they counter. Please Note The damage increase from armaments is for the troops they naturally counter in combat. Cavalry Archer Infantry Cavalry Archer Seige Seige Infantry For Example Having every 100k Griffin Knights (Razor) will increase 1% damage dealt by cavalry to enemy archers (maximum 10% damage increase) The upper limit of armaments equipped troops for each unit is 1 million. Let's see the official interpretation ~ 1. There is something wrong with the players formations. T12 Shield Soldier + T11 Cavalry + T12 Cavalry are recommended. The ratio should be - T12 Shield Soldier (15%) - T11 Cavalry (25%) - T12 Cavalry (60%) The players attack might have a better chance at success if this formation is used. 2. According to the Battle Report, the main soldiers in the march were Cavalry, when using a cavalry dominant formation it is recommended to choose the Queen of War to march with the troops. More specific reasons 3. When you are reading your battle reports, you should pay special attention to which enemy troop which kills most of your soldiers. And then change your soldier types to counter this accordingly. In addition, the most of attacker's troops were killed by defender's ranged troops, so melee Cavalry + Pikeman are recommended. Q&A with CoK Dev Team - 2 Q How do we balance out troops layering for castle defense so that we can defend infantry and siege attacks/rallies but not be susceptible to cavalry attacks at the same time if castle is just an average castle and not a maxed one? A This is not so easy to answer, as there is no full balance as battles would become stalemate. Defending doesnt solely rely on troop layering, if your attributes do not beat or are similar to the e...nemy then no amount of troop layering can help win. Layering your castle should correspond to what focus you have gone in. Pure setup that requires very high attribute values can forego the traditional layering and just stack the dominant troop. However, this can be susceptible to counter types, with no anti counter in place. Therefore, its usually best to go with a traditional layering. When layering your castle for defense remember to think about the troops positioning in the battle. Shield Siege Carts Infantry Spear Cavalry Spear Cavalry Shooter Archer Bowmen Archer Crossbowmen Siege Catapult and then cross-reference these with the troops restraint relationship. Restraint Relationship Infantry Shields No Counter Infantry Spear - Counter melee Cavalry Cavalry Melee - Counter Bow Soldiers, Crossbow, Catapults, Shooters Cavalry Shooter - Counter Bow Soldiers, Crossbow men, Catapults, Shooters Archer Bow soldiers - Counter Spearmen, Carts, Catapults Archer Crossbow - Counter Spearmen, Carts, Catapults Siege Engine Carts - Counter Shield-men, Spearmen, Melee Cavalry Siege Engine Catapult - Counter Shield-men, Spearmen Siege to counter the Infantry Spearmen, Archer to counter the Siege engines, but then Cavalry counter both. So, as we can see the troops counter each other. Thus, at a lower attack ranged its best to have full traditional layering with all troops at equal numbers. At higher attack ranges though, this will not work, as with attribute values and enhancement allow certain troops access to skill that allow them to be more dominant. Such as defend for themselves, or primarily melee units can reach ranged units etc. We hope this helps lords to understand the troop types better for balancing marches and layering them accordingly. Bleeding is the effect of Griffin Knight, the T13 Cavalry, is triggered by chance; the skill, Slaughter enjoys the damage bonus of Cavalry Charge; crit chance and dodge chance are also some kinds of probability. The Pray Feature Is Coming to the Prayer Hall New Skill Pray New Feature Helps Lords enhance their T11,T12 & T13 talent skills. The Prayer hall consumes a lot of energy, therefore you can only Pray five times a day, the first prayer is free, and each subsequent prayer requires 3,000 gold coins....
