Last year we had first ever Thanksgiving Side Dish Contest! So this year well be featuring the four winners of last year on Thursdays, for your consideration! This recipe came from Cindy, who had this to say This is a German inspired dish that my mother, who was from Germany, made every Thanksgiving (as well as Christmas and other special occasions). Players Juju Chan and Cathy Fiscus Carmardelle (and probably a few others as I write this) pointed out that there are actually TWELVE differences - including two shadows below the Mini-Tikis and a missing watermelon on the left side of the basket towards the right (previously referred to as "hedges"). DR. FRIKI'S BEEN AT IT AGAIN! and OH what a mess Tikis new friend Frank is in! Hes literally in pieces! Dr. Friki, the islands mad scientist, found the perfect parts from parts of various old Tikis to create Frankentiki - but then he got sidetracked attempting to turn mangoes into flamingos or something, and left the pieces in a pile. The Horror Movie craze that swept the island ended as quickly as it started when the Mini-Tikis teacher, Mrs. Gabby Branglebouf, was inspired by a particularly harrowing week after Halloween and produced the nightmarish Children of the Candy Corn, starring her and a bunch of Mini-Tikis. It was extremely low budget, and pretty much started with her in the classroom calmly teaching the wee Mini-Tikis about restraint and when to employ it. Then - with a sudden evil look ...in her eye - she brought out a large bucketful of candy corn and said Have at it, kiddos while the camera crew documented children transitioning from attentive do-gooders to wild, sugar-crazed beasts to whining, crying, sobbing fussbudgets. Then to strung-out, confused, delirious ding-dongs, and then ultimately to the drooling and half-asleep little darlings we love so much. While it was horrific, it was also painfully boring as each phase was documented in full. The film clocked in at almost three hours, and thus it was the end of an era. The critics all agreed - instead of candy corn, she should have given them FREE PLAYS Link

When the Tiki Island Characters decided they all wanted to write, produce, direct and act in their own horror films, nobody expected this to include Oliver Whale. But alas, his movie, Olivers Twist, was quite frightening. Based loosely on the Dickens novel, this version features an orphaned whale with a trick up his sleeve - he befriends Great White Sharks and then sets them up to take the blame when he, Oliver Whale (played by a much younger, smaller, whale), attacks... people near the beach. Many sharks get falsely accused until an old, wise whale decides to step in and take young Oliver under his fin, teaching him the error of his ways and putting him on the path of the straight and narrow. Or DOES he? One of the biggest twists in this fright-fest involves these Shark Hooks Link
