Today's will bring you Namiki Sayuri! Overconfident. Reckless. Her personality mirrors that of her master, Lord Asano. As he is, so she is full of life and joyous. To her, every minute counts, and every second is one that will bring her closer to glory and fame. She is unfaltering in her loyalty and the best companion to be with. Proud, perhaps a bit too much, of her finesse and swordsmanship. Despite her appearance she is a fierce warrior. Weapon of choice Katana (...Japanese long-sword) Secondary weapon Naginata (Japanese halberd), usually when defending against mounted enemies or a swarm of enemies. Bushido Saga - Nightmare of the Samurai is strongly influenced by Japanese feudal history and mythology, something that shows up already in its name. Why is the saga named "Bushido"? Bushido is a combination of the words "bushi", which means warrior, and "do", which means path. Thus, Bushido can be translated as "path of the warrior" or "way of the warrior".... In Japan's society, the Bushido was the unwritten code that guided the samurai's actions, similar to the chivalry code for European knights. The Bushido emphasized frugality, skill and courage, but its core values are honor and loyalty to one's daymio. If, by some unfortunate circumstance, a samurai felt as having failed his lord, he would commit "seppuku" or "harakiri", a ritual in which the warrior would kill himself to cleanse the stain of dishonor from his lineage. Oishi is the most honorable among the samurai. The Bushido is his life and there is nothing that would stop him from fulfilling his life's task. He embarks on the perilous quest to save Lord Asano's life after his daunting nightmare and not even death itself will stand in his path. Follow Oishi's adventures by playing Bushido Saga - Nightmare of the Samurai. Play Bushido Saga now on Android or iOS! App Store Link Google Play Link

Today's brings you one of the enemies you will face in the game, the Agile Samurai. These warriors will try to strike Oishi multiple times in quick succession. The first image of this post is first concept for this enemy. After feedback from community of players and hearing their suggestions, we replaced his puny look for something more imposing and threatening. The final version of the agile samurai looked more realistic, while not giving away his fighting s...tyle. We did not abandon everything of the first concepts, keeping his original clothing intact. Which concept did you liked most? Please let us know in the comments and keep playing Bushido Saga! App Store Link Google Play Link

Who are the Samurai? A few days ago we spoke a little about Bushido, the code that acts as a waypoint for the samurai. But who are the samurai? The original Japanese word "saburai" means "those who serve in close attendance to nobility", which is a very precise way to define these warriors. However, the samurai were only referrenced as warriors during the 12th century, when they were also trained as officers and strategists of the clans they served.... Their origins date back to the final years of the 8th century, when farmers took up arms to defend against the Emperor's tax collectors. Thus, the first samurai families were born. Later, in the 12th century, the samurai established themselves as one of the most prominent social classes in Japan, when they amassed financial, military and political power, as rebellion wars were fought throughout the country. Samurai families would then move on to become the most powerful force in Japan until the Meiji era, when the Emperor forbid the samurai to walk freely with their katana and abolished the samurai class. References to the samurai are quite common in pop culture - including Bushido Saga! -, and that comes as no surprise as around 1 of Japan's society consisted of samurai! However, not all of them were master warriors as is commonly believed. Most frequently, they were positioned as commanders on the battlefield. Still, they were trained in most of the weapons of that time, like the katana, bow and spears. This is why Oishi can handle so many weapons in Bushido Saga. Which one is your favorite?
