Bluffing does not mean betting horrible hands. bluff range on today's flop should have some kind of pattern! We don't want to bet A 2 - never, but something like J 9 or K 4 would be a frequent bet. Again, some of these good calls should be placed in check range for balance, as well as level 2 hands like QQ.

Tight / passive players are great targets for a semi-bluff! They give up too much, fail to raise and get us out of calls, even when they have a very strong hand. Therefore, it makes little sense to play passively against these opponents. The bluff component of semi-defenders is great, it makes sense to use it to advantage and

Believing in the strength of suited cards, or suited, is an extremely common mistake for beginners and even some intermediate players. Flushs don't happen as much as you might think! If you go into action with two low cards of the same suit, there is a high chance that you will lose all money to a flush with bigger cards.

Anyone who is starting out in the poker world may not understand right away what a draw is. By definition, it happens when you are in need of a card to complete a flush or a straight. For example, if you have a 1 a J in your hands and you have a Q and a K on the flop, you are in a straight draw - expecting a 9 or an A. A lot of people in these situations pay high stakes to stay in the game and see the turn or the river, but that, statistically, is not a goo See More
