Leprechauns look ever so gallant and handsome in green BUT - it was actually RED that they wore in days of yore. Not sure when the big change occurred, but perhaps its because they were too easy to spot when wearing red, and thus a lot of pots of gold, so they switched it up to green so theyd be better able to blend in with their surroundings.
