Poi is fermented taro root all mashed up. Its not easy on the tongue for first timers - the texture takes some getting used to - but once you do, the Islanders insist youll become a fan. Sounds like some of you enjoyed it as a kid, but don't much care for it now. Its also a great baby food! Gluten-free, easy to digest and high in both calcium and iron! Have you had poi? Yesterday was Canada Day and on Thursday its Independence Day in the U.S. That means this could safely be called Fireworks Week - but its not yet! Unfortunately, theres been a power outage on Tiki Island, and one of the Mini Tikis is walking around with a mini torch so he can see and if hes not careful, hell accidentally set off a bunch of fireworks. During the Tiki Island Music Craze where all the characters were trying their hands at creating albums, nothing was more annoying than the self-dubbed Steel Drum Sensations, The Streak Doublers. With no talent for writing songs, and no money to hire writers, their The Streak Doublers Present Steel Drum Hits! included parody hits to avoid having to pay royalties to the original artists. It featured Streak of Hearts, originally Queen of Hearts by Juice Newton, Le ...Streak, originally Le Freak by the late 7 disco band CHIC, Jumpin Jacks Stash, originally Jumpin Jack Flash by the Rolling Stones, plus a painful cover of Ray Stevens The Streak called The Streak Doubler. If ONLY they had learned the nuances of their instruments, the music might have been listenable. But they chose steel drums because they thought it would be easy to play them (its not) and refused to listen to anyone who offered constructive criticism. On the plus side, it did come with these FREE STREAK DOUBLERS, which you can use without ever having to listen to the album. Youre welcome Link

This one is called The Three Billy Goats Tough because the cards represent three goats and its a tough one. The cards that dont clear the tableau will walk across the bridge no problem. However, the winning card must face the troll before he can cross the bridge. See, thats why its tough. Life is tough. Sometimes losing cards get to cross bridges with no problem while winning cards have to fight the trolls. Fair? No. Realistic? Yes. Which of the three cards will do ...it? When the Volcano heard that all the folks from Tiki Island were making albums, he blew up and spewed lava all over the place and DEMANDED that his unique sounds be recorded LIVE. Well, in order to appease the Volcano, producers put together a big festival with the Volcano headlining. And they recorded it live. No overdubs. The music itself was well, some people like to listen to birds and running water, so perhaps some people might enjoy the hisses and sounds of steam emana...ting from a volcano. Once the album was recorded and released it didnt really sell too well, but that didnt bother the Volcano. He just wanted his demands to be met, and they were. Even greater than the album, of course, is that feeling you get with a FREE VOLCANO CARD Link
