"Solve It - a visual novel is in soft launch, and one surprise is that fans are its biggest critics. For example, the average English review is 4+ stars, but people who mention haiku or adventure escape gave it 2.5 stars. Frankly we dont expect every Adventure Escape fan to like the game. Its a different type of game with no inventory items and fewer puzzles, but more emphasis on story, dialogue, and interpersonal relationships. But what we are concerned about is ...that fans seem to be rating it poorly just because they want us to create another Adventure Escape game. So I wanted to address that. Were definitely not going to stop working on Adventure Escape. We have more people working on Adventure Escape now than a year ago. We have multiple new games in the works as well as re-releasing Dark Ruins in Adventure Escape Mysteries. While were known for Adventure Escape now, weve experimented with many different types of games. We started making a strategy game called Solarian Tactics, and weve tried a puzzle game called RiddleSmith. These experiments have been taken off the app store now, but that doesnt mean we want to only focus on Adventure Escape. Its goal to create new games that players like, and while we hope everyone will want to play Adventure Escape forever, we cant expect that to be the case! In fact, Adventure Escape itself started as a simple experiment which experienced players could probably complete in just 10 minutes. If Solve It does well, well have more resources to promote Adventure Escape and work on more games. In addition, we can rotate team through different game genres, so they do not become too focused on one type of game. We hope you give Solve It a shot (warning: its only in English for now).
