Play tips (in response to user requests) (1) The obviously difficult feature of Sticky Blocks is avoiding pieces sticking together. However you will have to join pieces and rather than try and leave it until the last moment, sometimes it is better to commit to an early join. Note that two pieces joined can be moved as a unit, so faster than moving them as separate pieces. Have a look at the in-game solutions sometimes. You will often find the first or second move is a join. (...2) After some joins you may find the puzzle can no longer be solved. If you have created a piece that it it impossible for the white block to pass, even with the rest of the board empty, you know you have made a mistake! (3) Avoid making long pieces! a 3x1 is much harder than a 1x1 + 2x1. You sometimes have to shuffle pieces around so that you can make the smallest pieces. (4) Look for groups of 2x2 units. If you can shuffle the board in terms of 2x2 groups the puzzle will be much easier. (5) Look for locking L-shapes. These often work well when moved together. 2x L-shapes can shuffle to make a 2x3 or 3x2 shapes, so are adaptable. Don't pair up L-shapes facing the same way! (6) Use the hint sometimes! The harder puzzles are really very hard! The hint will compare your position with all the known solutions it has and rewind your game to the common point and provide the next 5 moves. This can unblock your thinking. (7) Sometime pieces need to be moved to one side, then moved back. It is not always easy to see that, as it is intuitive to just keep moving the pieces the same way. (8) The Novice puzzles may look to easy to be worth solving, but it can be tricky to find the perfect solution! Some of these Novice perfect solutions are hard to find. (9) Grab the gems and creatures. They earn you credits that you can buy more hints with. If you run out of hints and gems, then finally you can buy blocks of hints. Finally treat yourself with a cup of coffee when you solve one of the harder puzzles, or get a perfect solution! You deserve it!
