Rise from the ashes. As war rages around me, i see my tattered army collapse at my feet. Tired, weary, begging for mercy, and more importantly reinforcements. This new land, 160, has proven itself a sturdy nation, my attacks seem weak. ... I had only begun to have a feel for my new city when my first 160 kill event began. It wasnt long before my troops suffered my ignorance to its stats, and officer levels. I had to buckle down. In the weeks since that first kill event, my city has seen a huge growth spurt. I began with technology, specifically gathering bonuses. I switched one of my directors, to I. Medici. I added the skill steel gathering, and started to only recruit shredders. I changed two of my other of my Strategic Officers to Major Morgan, and Loreline to allow for a larger marching army and faster recruitment. By the 2nd week, I had grown from 5-600,000 bp to breaking a million. Eager to eat up some resources, I teleported to a small, secluded alliance, chanfes my officers and began to attack. A few of the smaller cities fell by my hand, and i asked if anyone wanted to join me for some of the larger cities. A friend from the alliance agreed and teleported to my location and we began to scout. One particular report caught my eye. This guy had a TON of steel, and i needed that to get my city level upgrading, but.. he could match combined marches with the troops home. My friend warned me, but i brushed him off, because the city had lower tiered troops. We attacked, we lost. Big. Began my second 160 kill event. My army, most of it, lie at the foot of another city's wall. I decided it was best to stay out of another fight. Now two weeks later, the evidence of the ill fated attack washed away. My poor tattered army, now new an vibrant again, thanks to my use of the officer skills. Officers are important in this game, you can use them, like i did, to build your army up faster, change them to offensive attackers, defenders to see how you will fare in a fight. Skills only enhance your officers, use the skills to broaden, or even narrow your offer's skill set. Putting a little effort into learning your officers can make your gameing so much more enjoyable. by Eric Chow from AoZ Main Group Hi guys! Been playing here for several months now and am at Level 20. For those frustrated from the grind, there are always some ways to get around it and make things less aggravating. These tips will be especially useful when you are trying to save for major upgrades like the Wall or the Main Hall 1) Save your crates. Don't use them until you have enough to make a large dent on what you are trying to save. The more crates you save..., the better off you will be. 2) Do not claim resource gifts in messages. Especially the daily ones that come from territory. The alliance I belong to gives a daily stipend of 190K food and oil. Saving those messages for at least a week will give you 1.3M each. Same goes for quest prizes that you get for completing quests. 3) The reason why I suggest this is that if you get raided, you don't lose the crates, the message gifts, and the quest prizes. Save them enough and you will have enough to pay for your upgrades. 4) The Quest prizes and Message Gifts usually give you food and oil. Therefore, you need to prioritize steel gathering if you are level 15+ and mineral gathering when you are level 20. And if you are raiding abandoned cities, some of them do give you quite a bit, but its usually food and oil. Which is why steel and mineral gathering is important. 5) Get your troop counts to over 100K. The more troops you have, the less likely you will be attacked. And if you do get attacked, it may be either through a rally or a well stocked opponent. Either way, there is a possibility of you getting compensated with a shitload of resources should this happen to you. One time, I got rallied by 6 opponents and was compensated with 9 million each of food and oil. All I needed was steel to get to the next level. Hope this helps. I enjoy this game and hope these tips allow others to enjoy it too.

A New Beginning In the Adventures of awess Starting new is hard enough, but starting again in an established nation can be near impossible. Luckily i have great friends. ... As tensions arose in 119 I broke off from my alliance due to a disagreement in internal management. To me, every player in the alliance is important, no matter how small. If a player is active and contributing, through donations and alliance events, they are a major help. I have argued, fought, started anew, all because I stand in my belief. I decided to join my friends from war and order, in the nation they left 119 to establish in. Lethlil, OldSpice, Yofon, Wai_Wiliki to name a small handfull. They came through the void into the zombie wastelands, not knowing how to procede. With a little guidance, and a tremendous ammount of skill on their part, these players came together to create one of the most powerful alliances in 160. I am honored to join them, in their battle to be #1. When I stepped onto the scene, Wai had already become the second president of 160. Many hard won battles lay behind them, and I am looking forward to the many ahead of us in the near future. As a long term gamer, it was a difficult decision to leave behind the city I had rescued and built into a power house. I believe the next chapter in my gaming history will be one of the brightest, most memorable in the entire book. My friends made the choice a little easier, by offering me a spare city someone had left behind. I am grateful to them, and the retired player for his generosity.
