It has been a week full of milestones for Paradox. We would like to start off by sharing that Link will be selling the last 5 Escape Paradox comic books at the Link festival! It was a big step for us to publish a comic book next to the Paradox short film and game. We cannot thank Lau Kwong Shing enough for creating such an amazing artpiece, as well as Link for making the print possible! And thanks for everyone who supported us an...d purchased the book! We found old footage of a mysterious murder case linked to The White Door. An unconfirmed report identifies the man as Doctor Theo Hoorn. Hoorn was working for controversial mental health institute The White Door. We tried to call The White Door (+312 or visit their website Link , but we haven't got any response so far.

Thank you for all your support here in this great community! We have read very touching comments from fans who had a great time in The White Door. We also read comments about disappointment; sorry to hear that The White Door was not for you, but thanks for sharing your honest feedback. As mentioned we wanted to create something else this time focusing on creating narrative based game with an interesting new gameplay. Almost like a visual novel. We knew it wouldnt be for eve...ryone, especially the hardcore puzzle fans. Keep in mind that we as game devs/artists also need to step out of comfort zone (no inventory!) and try something else from time to time thats also a big reason why it is under new label Link . And you might be wondering why it took so long; we have 4 projects running along side each other. So dont be worried in any case. We have a lot more of the old coming as well! The White Door is finally ready to release officially! Are you ready to bring back color to Roberts life? Enter The White Door now on iOS Link Android Link ... Steam Link Itch.io Link We are beyond excited to share this new title with the world! Lets start off by saying that The White Door is different than anything we made so far, not only in style but also in gameplay. But we were ready to make a big change after creating 12 games with almost the same mechanics, interface and style. After combining the new black and white style with the split-screen gameplay, we really wanted to focus on telling a personal story, the story of Robert Hill. It was a big challenge for us to change the gameplay and puzzle mechanics we used to know, and also trying to create the most narrative based game we made so far. But after a year of hard work we can say that we are extremely proud we achieved this and that we can make something out of the ordinary, while remaining the Rusty Lake touch. Since start we have been lucky to have people helping us out. A lot of those people are listed in new, almost movie worthy credits, so please take a look at them when finishing the game. The credits are accompanied by the beautiful theme song from Victor Butzelaar. His enthusiasm for this project kept us going and we couldnt have made this story without his emotional, atmospheric and beautiful soundtrack. Bob Rafferty almost became Bob Hill with his amazing voiceovers, his work made the game so much more special. Also a big thanks to all the extra voiceovers, Sara Hill, Iris Muller, David Bowles and a cameo from John & Kimmy! The White Door probably contains the most text of all games, so a big hands down to all translators who did a terrific job as always, making this worldwide release possible. Thank you so much everyone - also the people in the special thanks section! Most of all we want thank you all for your ongoing support! community of players is growing bigger and bigger and it is sometimes difficult to satisfy everyone and keep innovating at the same time - but we are happy you allow us to take the time to make something different like The White Door. We have a very exciting year ahead for both Rusty Lake and new publishing label Link . More of the old is coming and more exciting new projects are still in the pipeline! Happy New Year!! After the amazing release of Cube Escape Paradox we wanted to make something completely new and different, and after many prototypes it resulted in The White Door. Now after a year of development, with lots of ups and downs, we can finally say we became very proud of it. Expect a very different style, gameplay and way of storytelling than any of previous games, but with the same Rusty Lake touch. Also might have noticed we will release it under Seco...nd Maze, new publishing label :) There are only 8 days left now and that means we get a lot of help from amazing translators and testers. Exactly 4 years ago we released Rusty Lake Hotel. Its still one of favourite games and it was a huge milestone in game development career without Rusty lake Hotel we couldnt have continued making these series. Things begin to look brighter with only one month left for The White Door. And we hope you are as excited as we are! The game is completely different than anything we have made so far and we had to overcome a lot struggles with the development of the game the new style, the topdown view, the puzzle mechanics, the absence of an inventory and the way of telling a story. Dear fans, unfortunately due personal circumstances we have to postpone the release date of The White Door to January 9, 2020. The past weeks we were unable to work as we are used too, leaving no other option to take a bit more time. We strongly believe delaying the game will be better for well being but also the quality of the game, as we would normally crunch the last 4 weeks to the release date (and the weeks after). Not releasing any game this year makes us sad, but knowing what awesome projects we have in the pipeline, we are sure we will not let you down next year. Thanks for your support!

We helped a friend propose through The White Door A friend asked us if we could make special test version, in which he could propose to her on their 10 year anniversary.
