Her mainstay black silhouette has evolved over the years since its 1970s debut, with new equipment and embellishments modernizing the design rather than reinventing it. Why fix what isnt broken? Black Widow is a super spy, and her outfit is designed around her gadgets and her strong need for agility, explains Game Director Tore Blystad. She has more gadgets than any other hero in the game and they ...all need to be properly incorporated into her suit. Natashas weaponized gauntlets called Widows Bites and circular belt design are directly inspired by iconic Marvel art, but with a tactical execution. Where the design most differs is the suit itself, which is a two-piece garment rather than the classic catsuit. It also features light reinforcement in areas such as the knees and elbows, includes holsters for her twin pistols and batons, and finishes with practical footwear. As with Freebie Link ' other Super Hero redesigns, the goal was a fresh but familiar ensemble, instantly recognizable as the Ex-Russian agent, but unique to the original story told in Freebie Link .

Black Widows heroics are inspired by both her past and present, drawing on multiple masteries to one-up her enemies. Black Widows Assault Heroic ability - Widows Bite - leverages her iconic gauntlets to quickly blast a sphere of electrical energy at her target. A Well, the fact that she IS human but is able to stand toe to toe with literal gods and super soldiers is pretty stellar. And its because shes always one step ahead of the game. Embracing parts of her personality and skillset that may have been downplayed when the Avengers were together. Despite her struggles to fill Caps shoes, in many ways Widow leads by example and its crazy that she isnt even aware of how good she is in that role. ? A Im thrilled for players to see and experience the story thats being told uniquely for this game. To step into the shoes of the Avengers and really become heroes. (And personally, I cant wait to unlock all the different costumes!!)

In Freebie Link , Iron Man's Arc Reactor is housed in a hexagonal shape to give him a modern feel. Freebie Link spent a tremendous amount of time and iteration designing the Iron Man armor. For his iconic armor, we were inspired by Italian motorcycles and ...supercars, which combine machinery and sleek housing. goal was to create a design that looks both functional and believable, but also maintains the classic design DNA. At Crystal Dynamics, we assigned a concept designer with extensive experience in industrial design to create his iconic armor. Using his experience designing vehicles was crucial in shaping the parts and function of the armor. While this is his base armor we want it to still look modern. Like traditional Iron Man designs, we kept the classic round inner shape for the Arc Reactor, but then we housed it within a skewed hexagonal shape for a more contemporary look. We spent a considerable amount of time on the rear design of Iron Man as well, because that is what is most visible when playing the game. The shoulders flaps function for flight maneuvering and as air vents for cooling. The venting also provides a dual function as visual feedback to players to show the armor is overheating. The red and gold graphic breakup was a learning process for us, and we designed many concepts based on historical Iron Man designs to come up with the best balance for this iconic armor. We reduced the size of the traditional gold regions of the armor, and distributed the red more evenly across the armor. In addition to the iconic armor, other Iron Man armors will have a wide variety of design breakup and colors that touch on various Marvel designs, as well as some exciting and unique new armors.

For Hulk, the design challenge for the team has been different than the other characters, explained Creative Director Tore Blystad. In order to bring something unique to a character with a narrow aesthetic range to draw from, the focus was instead on Hulks build. His face has been modeled from Bruce Banner face, so they share the same facial featu...res. Hulk's body was modeled after a variety of bodybuilders, pro-wrestlers, and extreme athletes who operate at peak physical condition. To make the exertion of energy and power read well, Hulk is sculpted in a non-flexed approach. This is done to exaggerate and flex his muscles during combat, making his veins and tendons pull beneath the skin surface. Hands and feet are exaggerated in proportion, making his limbs the ultimate weapons of power and strength. Hulks classic purple trousers are muted in Freebie Link , based on real-world dress slacks one would expect a man of science to wear in his daily routine. The goal across all Crystal Dynamics character designs is to be recognizable, but unique, something the studio worked closely with Marvel to achieve.
