A Sprout is only guaranteed to grow into a healthy Seedling if it is in an Excellent state when the growing time runs out. Avoid leaving a Sprout in an Excellent, but bordering on Mediocre Vitality. If the Vitality lowers and the growing stops while the Sprout is Medioc...re, it will most likely wither.
