Just this morning I managed to get the definitions for most of the words in the game into the desktop version. We'll do best to get them into the mobile version too, but that's a pretty tricky challenge! Here's a work-in-progress shot of this new feature in action! More details here Link

I'm currently attempting to get the definitions of nearly every word in Letter Quest into the game so that they'll show up whenever you spell a word! This will be a desktop-only feature for now because it's a lot of data. I'll try to get it working on mobile versions later, but it will take some trickery! This has been an absurdly difficult task due to the multitude of sources I've had to look up to find most words. We're using a 180,000+ word dictionary, which is a lot more words than most dictionaries use. So it's been a matter of getting definitions for chunks of words from all kinds of places - then there's the matter of making sure that they're free to use in commercial software! Back to it! Letter Quest just got added to the Feathers UI Showcase! Feathers UI is the awesome UI framework we used for Letter Quest. The picture on there is from the old version of Letter Quest, the new one with all the new UI looks so much better! :) Still waiting on Apple to approve the new update, will let everyone know when it's released!... While we're waiting for the update to be approved by Apple, we've been working hard on the PC/Mac version. We're considering making own Kickstarter-esque options for buying the game on site through direct sales. Basically offering rewards for higher price tiers, similar to Defender's Quest 2 Link and Starbound Link . As some of you may already know, we're attempting to add definitions to almost every ...word in the game so you can see what a word means when you spell it. One reward option we were thinking was letting you choose a custom word to add to the game's dictionary, along with a custom definition. You could use a pet's name, a random pop-culture reference, or complete gibberish - basically anything that isn't profanity/not-kid-safe. We could even add a special menu in the game showing all of these words, checking them off as you find them, and maybe giving them a unique effect when spelled. Thoughts? Another reward we're thinking about is a digital version of the game's soundtrack. Also a digital artbook/dev-diary, with tons of art and screenshots taken during development with some text about the entire process by us, all in the form of a nice ebook. Love these ideas? Hate them? Let us know! And feel free to make suggestions about other things you'd like to have offered! Grimm and Rose stickers? Bumper stickers? Pins/badges?

We are pleased to formally introduce the final version of Rose, she's now fully hooked up and ready to go. Here we see her modelling the very fashionable red dress and hood, along with a custom weapon she built from a pretzel stick and candy cane - she's super resourceful! Look forward to playing as Rose when the next update hits the App Store and Google Play. A super-massive thank you to the kind folks over at Jay Is Games for their review of the game...and for linking to the Letter Quest demo - to date, we've only had roughly 200 people that have played the demo. In the last couple of hours, we've had almost 1000 demo players! The demo is now being passed around to a lot of the big Flash gaming sites, and is going a bit crazy. sincere apologies to anyone that is experiencing errors - we're not set up to handle this kind of traffic! I'm now working super-hard on getting a version of the demo that is self-contained so can be hosted on the various Flash gaming sites without hitting web server! This is what I'd call a good problem to have! ;)

We recently created a new game in 24 hours for first ever Bacon Bandit Games "Peanut Butter and Game Jam"! It's already available on Google Play Link Coming soon to the App Store, just waiting for an Apple review! We made the game as a test for implementing Google Games functionality, since a lot of players have been asking for that in Letter Quest. We should be able to do that soon now! We also wanted to test out some other features... and functionality in a small game before porting them to Letter Quest. And finally, we put own custom in-game ad for Letter Quest in the game to try and get some more players! More details coming soon, creating a site for the game now. Now here's hoping we can get the same sort of player numbers as Flappy Bird! ;)
