GM Johan-Sebastian Christiansen, who beat the much higher rated Radoslaw Wojtaszek in R1, met with a terrible surprise before the start of R2. He was supposed to be black in the first game of his R2 match-up against Alekseenko, unaware that he replaces the higher-rated player he beat in R1. However, he had prepared for the game as White. On arriving, he realised he will actually be playing with the black pieces! Not only did he play a gutsy line against a player out-ratin...g him by more than 100 points, but he also drew the game. Kudos to the Norwegian GM on tackling this rather unpleasant situation in the bravest of ways! Check out this thread on Twitter: Link
