There were so many questions to Kate so we have decided to make it an interview in two parts. PART 1 Do you have college or trade school degrees/certification? Are you a teacher or a psychologist by profession or both?... Neither one nor the other. I studied to be a linguist-translator. After school I wanted to be an interpreter, to accompany people at conferences, negotiations, excursions. How did you get into the game community? It was a fluke. But there were two prerequisites. I had a grandfather who was terribly interested in technologies, and I got my first computer from him. I could do whatever I wanted with it, and now its hard to remember how many times I broke it while trying to figure it out. And I, like many young people, grew up almost in parallel with the active development of games of different types and genres. Everything was new and very interesting, I spent quite a lot of time playing games. After university, I was looking for a job on the tag "German" and found this vacancy. Games, communication with people, knowledge of languages ... well, I suit all 3 requirements, I decided that it was worth trying to respond. What exactly are a Community Manager's responsibilities? In short, I would say that this is communication with people, the development of communities, the creation of content for them. Implementation of two-way impartial communication between players and developers protecting ideas, wishes, and interests of players in front of developers and interests of developers in front of players. What do you like most about your work? The diversity of my tasks, routine tasks drive me into anguish. Today you need to translate or run a poll, tomorrow to take pictures and sort out players' problems, another day to write an article about the event and help test an update. Do you play the game? How long have you been playing Solitaire Social? I play, but not much. Once every two or three days I go to play several tournaments, send everyone answers to requests, improve something in the locations if I have enough coins, and sometimes do daily tasks. Kate, do you have pets? Yes, literally, Tom and Jerry live in my house. A very fat ginger cat and a small white mouse :) What are your favorite ... movies - I can't answer, I watch movies too rarely, only recently started watching the very films that everyone has watched. bands - a strange mixture of completely different music. It could be The Offspring, Three Days Grace, then Aquarium and Nautilus, then The Beatles and Louis Armstrong, a little reggae, a little jazz, a little funk, and add Mozart with Tchaikovsky on top _ () _ / books - most often it is science fiction, Lem, Strugatsky, Zelazny, Heinlein, Simmons flowers - ferns!
