Do you have fears? I am afraid of harming the world and people, and I try not to deviate from my ideals. 4 Do you listen to your heart or mind more often? Mind. I'm just learning to listen to my heart, as long as my mind always has the last word. 5 How did you become a game designer? I liked playing games a lot! I was expelled from a university because of this. But then I heard advice from my friend If you want to stop loving something, make it your job!". Just a week later, I found my first job in game development immediately after the interview. I spent an hour talking to my employer about a game, answering some tricky questions about my success in it. He was also a gamer. 6 What does a game designer do? A game designer is a person who starts the game. The idea is already working in my head, but I need to convey my vision without any distortion to all team members. My responsibilities are to design game mechanics, balancing the game's economy, and analytics. Example of questions that I need to answer What rewards will there be? How many points do players need to complete a stage? How will the event work? In the next part, Olga will tell us more about the most difficult parts of her job and where she takes her ideas from.
