Sheena and her troupe of enigmatic carnival performers entertain guests near and far with mischievous tricks and unbelievable sights; for a price, of course. When they arrived at the town of Beddalam they expected a crowd; instead all they found was a silent, weary looking clown and an abandoned hamlet. Never having been one to miss an opportunity for profit, Sheena offered the clown a home traveling with her troupe. She could tell there was something special about this garis...hly painted joker, and she assumed spectators would pay to see his strange visage. Without any change in his expression, the clown silently climbed aboard their caravan. Karina the Astonishing slapped his back in jest, and the clown stared back at her with hollow, empty eyes. "Get a load of this guy! Some sense of humor for a clown. Hey, I thought this was a circus, not a freak show!" Karina chortled and elbowed Sheena. The fortune-telling leader of the carnival smirked and said, "Audience won't know the difference, so long as he plays along with his stage name. He won't tell me his real one, so we're calling him Slap-Happy." The performers laughed at the irony, while Slap-Happy continued to stare out the caravan window, watching Beddalam disappear behind them. The caravan reached the next town as dusk fell, and the performers set up the big top tent and began taking tickets from the audience. Slap-Happy the Clown started howling with laughter and jerking violently back and forth. "Save it for the show!" shouted Magnus, "but it's a good warm up routine." Slap-Happy was the first act; but when the clown opened his mouth with a sickening cracking sound to reveal rows of hideous teeth, all in the big top feared that this would be the final act of them all. Sheena, Karina and Magnus readied themselves for battle - and the audience settled in to watch in disbelief.

Gareth had made his fortune dealing in rare weaponry - but being surrounded by such valuable items caused him to become suspicious and paranoid. The affluent oligarch had retained the services of a private security firm who sent Gunnery Master Falana, Swift Stryker Anya and Crew Chief Rylan to watch over Gareth, his armory, and his wealth. He was a solitary man, and so the security crew had little interaction with their boss. All seemed to be going according to plan, until Ga...reth returned from a sojourn in Meido with a strange weapon he called the Archsword that radiated with wicked energy. He refused to leave it in the armory or sell it, and instead held it tight even as he slept at night. Anya, Falana and Rylan worried about their employer's sanity as they heard Gareth speaking softly to the blade and laughing to himself more and more each day. One evening Gareth called his security detail into his chambers to say that their services would no longer be required; as a devilish wing unfurled from his back, Gareth raised from his chair and held the sword against Rylan's throat. Gareth's voice grew louder as he spoke, "The Archsword tells me of mankind's inevitable downfall...the flames whisper to me that I will stand alone, victorious after I destroy this world! The power of demons pulses through me!" With his every step towards Rylan, the possessed mogul became more unhinged. Falana fired a stun shot into Gareth, who stumbled backwards and screamed. Rylan, Falana and Anya ran from his chamber to regroup. Deep within their former boss's armory, they suited themselves up for a battle against the corrupted Gareth and his demonic archsword.

HEADS UP, NEW SEASON UPDATE! The Season of Giving will run from 4pm PST Nov 12 to 4pm PST Dec 17! Here's what you can expect Victorious Legend skins from leaderboard rewards!... Proving Grounds Protector Coins roll over, Choice Coins will not. No retroactive Souls will be awarded to any historical Gen 3 Heroes or Relics obtained before the Souls update. The Proving Grounds store will not be refreshing so you can still get the Master or Ultra Rare Hero you've been eyeing!

In a ramshackle tavern that bordered Mt Dharmir, a band of mercenaries were in good spirits. Lorel the Pyromancer was entertaining the barkeep with his unique method of roasting garuda legs, while Altern and their leader Isidora discussed the improving situation in Altern's besieged homeland of Pavale. A patron of the tavern had been listening in on the mercenary's conversation; he came to Altern and Isidora's side to request their help. The old man explained that his family... had a strange heirloom in the form of a stone, passed down from generation to generation, and that recently it had taken on an eerie red glow. Less than a fortnight after it had began to glow however, it was stolen by a band of lizardmen who no doubt wanted it to illuminate their cavernous kingdom. Upon hearing that lizardmen were involved, Altern immediately agreed to assist the old man in finding the stone; after all, the bowman had a history with their lizard king, Dondrakkar and his army. The careless excavation in Mt Dharmir that the lizardmen did to build their kingdom had opened the portal that eventually led to the hellish assault on Pavale. The three mercenaries agreed to venture deep within the cave system that was the kingdom of Dondrakkar and retrieve the old man's stone. However this time they would request no payment; Altern was overjoyed to have the opportunity to seek vengeance upon Dondrakkar, and Lorel and Isidora were always ready for a fight.

Korelis was not the only land to feel the influence of the crystal shards' power. Meido too had fallen under a dark cloud, as the immortal Undying Yagami had become corrupted by the shard. Yagami held the wisdom of the ancients, and before the shard took hold he had imparted that knowledge to the samurai of Meido. Under Yagami's tutelage, Kaminari Stormcaller, Nimble Akahime, and Akira the Resolute all prospered and became the most powerful samurai in Meido. Now that their former master has become corrupted, it falls to his three former students to cast the Undying Yagami out of Meido before the dark crystal shard's influence is felt by the entire city!

As the yearly All Hallow's Eve festivities begin in Korelis, The Count arranges a gathering for his monstrous allies. The Count's calling of Frankie and Sabrina was not to partake in the monsters' Halloween custom of skull-bobbing however; they met to discuss a far more serious situation. A werewolf had been terrorizing the townspeople who lived in the shadow of The Count's castle. The vampire had come to find this out when he snatched a victim in the dead of night who cried ...out to his compatriots, "Aye, that hellhound got me lads!" even as he flew into the obsidian night on the wings of a giant bat. The Count drained the young man of just enough blood to satisfy his thirst, and instructed him to tell the rest of his people down in the village to arm themselves with silver and wolfsbane. His victim, still confused, asked The Count why he would want the villagers able to fend off his attacks? The vampire rolled his eyes and thanked his ancient masters that the quality of human blood was the same across dullards and scholars alike. Giving up on arming the population of the village that he feasted upon, the vampire requested his old friends Frankie and Sabrina to join him in a battle against the werewolf, who they learned was named Romulus. As it stands now, The Count regards the village in the long shadow of his castle as a field of cattle - and this lupine interloper much the same as a jackal attacking a herd of milk cows. Frankie and Sabrina agree to assist The Count in dispatching with the wolfman conditionally; Frankie wants the freedom to stomp through the village and make friends, while Sabrina wants to live again. Provided they can defeat Romulus, The Count will make these All Hallow's Eve dreams come true.

Pierced Heart made a name for herself as a protector of villages. Her golden visage bright and visible from miles away. When she set up shop at or near your village, local townsfolk knew they could sleep well. But it was only a matter of time until The Golden Dragon's status as an unbeatable protector would be challenged. Ravlak, Vanerg, and Himnoc knew that taking down Pierced Heart would elevate their status in the darkest corners of the beastial world. So what if a few villages and hundreds of civilians got hurt in the process? Smashing the Golden Dragon's pierced heart was too tempting a prize. To Ravlak, Vanerg, and Himnoc, villagers and villages are always disposable if need be.

As Bonny and the Barbarossas followed Davy Jones to the deck, they all immediately saw what had knocked them off their path Proteus, Monster of the Deep, violently thrashing. "Look alive!" Davy exclaimed. "This monster isn't messing around." As Bonny took in the giant sea beast, she couldn't help but reflect, "It's real!" The Barbarossas stood in shocked agreement.... They looked to Davy for guidance, but Davy didn't take his eyes off the monster. "This ain't no ordinary beast" Davy finally said after studying it. "Something's happening." He turned to his men and yelled over the roar of the sea, "This is it mates. We're taking this beast down and changing course. I need to talk to Keta." Barely having any time to react to the mention of the Legendary Keta, Bonny and the Barbarossas readied themselves for battle and whatever would come next.
