It's the age-old conundrum... sauna before you workout OR workout before you sauna We're glad FightCamp Member Peter Rawson shared his amazing gym setup because the can play an impactful role in your workout performance & recovery when used correctly. Some prefer to hop in the sauna before training to loosen up the muscles, warm up the body, elevate your heart rate and kickstart a good sweat. Others prefer to soak up all of the benefits after their workout. The sauna induces muscle relaxation, can remove toxins, and can also prolong the effects of your workout by keeping your heart rate up. But none of this is helpful without staying hydrated and knowing your body's needs and limitations.

This is your step-by-step guide to filling your heavy bag base with some sneaky FightCamp tips & tricks that you wont find anywhere else. The FightCamp Community has asked us for the BEST way to fill their freestanding heavy bag base. Link and Aaron Swenson are here to show you how to achieve long-term success with ANY heavy bag on the market right now with a hollow base.HOW LONG IS THE PROCESS?It may take up to an hour to get all of the sand into your base. We know this is a pain in the b$@t but its a one time process, if you follow these steps, and you also get a good workout WHAT SHOULD I FILL MY BASE WITH?There are three recommended materials to fill your base. Based on the weights listed below you should take a few things into consideration. How often you will need to move your bag, if at all. As well as how heavy youre punching or kicking the bag (aka heavyweight vs lightweight). And lastly, how much money you want to spend on materials. Sand + Water = 4 Sand Only = 35 Water Only 25WHAT DO YOU NEED?Like many freestanding bags, the FightCamp bag comes in two parts, even two boxes, the base, and the bag. From here youre also going to need 35 Dry Sand - $9.9 @ Home Depot Tape - $1 - $2 @ Home Depot Scissors - $7 - $1 Home Depot (or check out the Dollar Store!) A Funnel - $6.99 @ Autozone - You can also cut a milk jug or liter bottle to make a DIY funnel. Just remember the mouth needs to be small enough for the base opening and big enough for the sand to go through Table - find a table or bench around the house that is taller than the base opening Dustbuster or Vacuum - We know you wont drop even one little grain of sand, but you never know Water Hose - If you want to top your sand off with water, or can only use water, its best to use a garden hose for the quickest and most cost-effective resourceHOW DO YOU FILL YOUR BASE?Before you begin make sure you are set up to fill your base close to where your bag will go. If you can do this on your gym floor mat, thats the best-case scenario. Step 1 Grab your funnel and secure it with tape to the top of the base opening.Step 2 ***LIFE HACK*** Put your bag of sand on top of the table, which is taller than the base, and use your scissors to cut a small opening at the edge of the bag. Let gravity do the work!Step 3 Inbetween bags make sure to shake the base so that the sand is an even layer inside. If you let it pile up it creates the illusion that your base is full when its far from it.Step 4 Add water! To have the most secure and steady training, dry sand + water will give you 4 of support.
