Wilderless 1.2 is now live with multi-language support - thank you everyone who helped improve the translations. Update 1.3 is coming with character customization and update 1.4 will bring something Im really looking forward too... more soon.

I cant see who made the contributions but Im amazed and restored by the generosity of those who edited my online translations in French, Russian, Indonesian, German (thanks Nils), Chinese and more. All your changes are in the next update and I can feel the difference

Ive been planning Wilderless for several years and its definitely the largest world Ive created at almost 300 square km (compared to under 16 for Vandgels and BrightRidge, which taught me a lot). Phase one is almost ready and I cant wait for you to explore it

First person view in Wilderless i think it has sort of a fantasy Mirrors Edge (one of my favourite games) quality to it - you can turn the body view on or off. Double jump and more detailed footstep sounds are also new. I pray facebook doesnt mangle the video too much

Wilderless includes a compass and longitude/latitude to help you get around. I use it to revisit favourite areas, Im working on a Save Moments button to save your favourite spots

When I was a kid I saw Never Cry Wolf, a film about Farley Mowats life in the tundra and I was fascinated by the landscape. Im getting a similar feeling running through the tundra-esque landscapes of Wilderless which is a good sign, because I want it to evoke a calming feeling of another natural world Link

Good news. After Apple couldnt find the problem I did some research and discovered some macs are shutting down because of buggy thunderbolt Ethernet extensions. I deactivated them and now my MacBook has been working for 2 days I can work again and it gives me some breathing room to buy a proper replacement.

Long story short, theres is nothing Apple can do to fix my MacBook Pro. I love Apple, but between conflicting information and multiple repair trips this was one of the worst experiences Ive had. Im going to go wash this whole disaster off with a bike ride.

Mac crashed after the SMC reset so its going in after all tomorrow. No computer so I am wandering the mountains of Wilderless alpha to calm myself, its quite zen

I did an SMC reset of my Mac based on others who had fan-spinning random shutdowns, and Im trying to crash my Mac by putting it under load before my genius appointment this evening to see if the reset works

Unfortunately my Mac crashed even after I wiped it clean, so Ill be without a computer for 3 to 5 days while apple diagnoses the issue. Im hoping its a repairable problem so fingers crossed. In the meantime, heres a screenshot from the Wilderless alpha - it calms me to explore these mountain landscapes, and I hope soon it will for you too
