Im about 1/4 through the story and I am adding in an upgraded combat system. You can use a sword, hammer, and several spells. Each one has a standard attack, but also a power attack if you charge up by holding the action button for a second. Ive only spent a few days on it but am happy where its going, and will spend the rest of the week adding polish. Combat is not the focus of the game, but its nice to have the options for some of the set pieces. Also to solve the problem of the player inadvertently hitting innocents by accident, the player now draws the weapon on the first hit and only then attacks on the next one, giving you a bit more control over inadvertent button presses. This is a glimpse of the melee weapon power attack.
