FIDE recently announced the qualification system for the next Candidates tournament. The different routes are:1) Runner-up of the 2021 World Championship between Carlsen and Nepomniachtchi2) Teimour Radjabov, winner of the 2019 World Cup. Radjabov had withdrawn from the Candidates tournament that began in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 situation. He was replaced in the event by Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.
